Poblado Guest House — Hotel in Medellín

I have actually set up a TripAdvisor account to write this review because I so enjoyed our stay at Guest House Poblado-Manila. The staff here are amazing. We were in contact with Sandra most who is the kindest, most helpful person. Jenny was unbelievable too, thank you both!! The other ladies working there were super nice too, sorry I never got your names but thank you too. I think a business owner sets the tone and Arthur in this case, is super friendly, always stopping to chat and this fosters a great atmosphere. ||The apartment is perfect too, great location, very close to Poblado, a large supermarket and the metro. Despite this, the area is very quiet and we slept very well. It is very well equipped, with everything you need for a lovely stay and all utensils are in good condition. No burning hands on handleless frying pans here!! It even had a cocktail shaker!!! Being able to do our own laundry for free was a lovely facility to have. The TV has all the channels including the sports ones, very important! ||The WiFi is fast in all areas of the apartment. Theres a nice balcony to sit out and good information about what to do in the area. They kept our bags for us while we did an overnight trip to Jardin. The water in the shower is hot at all times. There is an assigned shelf for your food in the clean, spacious fridge. Basically, it ticks all the boxes and has none of the deficiencies we have found in other accommodations on our trip.||I think you get the idea we liked the place!! The biggest proof I can offer of this is that we were supposed to only stay for 2 nights, we stayed 10! Stop trying to decide between various places, just book this place, you...

Couldn't have wished for more during my time in Medellín, ended up staying in Poblado Guest House for 2,5 weeks. First and most importantly, all of the staff are lovely. Thanks to everyone, very much appreciated the hospitality. Some hard facts: -Countless restaurants, cafés, language schools in walking distance -Awesome breakfast included -Free drinking water, coffee and tea 24/7 -Superb cleaniness -Comfortable (and classy) communal area with -Well equipped kitchen -Safest neighbourhood in general, additional safety measures within the building (metal doors, money safe, night guard) -Metro station and bus stops nearby -Exito supermarket (feels like a mall) within 5min walking, Sante Fé and El Tesoro malls 10-20 driving -Sound level: as quiet as it gets in El Poblado due to location in a dead end street, even though - as probably everywhere in the neighbourhood - occasional traffic sound is audible in a street facing room, but I would consider that a trade-off with all the positives
