Hotel Medallo City — Hotel in Medellín

The rooms were tidy and well kept. The bathrooms were nice and they provided toiletries along with towels. There isn’t many backpackers that come and go, so it was a very quite change of pace from the hostels. There is a nice little common area, with a tv, porch furniture, and a small soaking pool. Unfortunately during our stay the pool was drained, but it did not take away from the experience of the hotel. The staff was attentive, and kind. They did not have any English speakers, but they were receptive to using translator apps. No Ac in rooms, but the rooms generally stayed nice and cool. Each room was equipped with a TV, furniture to store gear, and a strong fan. There is construction next door to the hotel that led to some noise, but that is certainly a temporary problem. Me hospedé en este hotel porque en una oportunidad anterior la estancia había sido un 10/10, en esta oportunidad la experiencia fue totalmente distinta. Uno de los abanicos de la habitación se cayó por sí solo, dimos el aviso y sin indigar, nos cobraron un adicional por el "haber dañado el abanico", no contentos con eso, no nos dieron un abanico nuevo, tuvimos que dormir sin abanico y sin aire, porque las habitaciones no tiene aire, la recepcionista tuvo una actitud muy indiferente ante esta situación, no buscó alternativa y solo insistió en que debíamos pagar el arreglo del abanico. Algunas habitaciones no tiene calentador en la ducha. Tampoco tienen control sobre el comportamiento de los huéspedes extranjeros, les permiten hablar fuerte y escuchar música hasta altas horas en áreas compartidas aledañas a las habitaciones.
