Hotel Boutique Bahia Plaza — Hotel in Santa Marta

The Hotel is what it is. We were there for a mission trip so for us the accommodations worked. There is nothing fancy at all. No amenities. But they do have wifi through the hotel. The AC works good but they do shut it off during the day you can ask them to turn it on and they will. The staff is great, the waiters we had in the morning was very good, especially once she got to know us. The first day I tipped her I found out they do not usually get tipped and she may have taken the tip as something different. But she understood when one of the folks who spoke Spanish explained it to her. The food was okay. We were on the 4th floor no elevator which can be a little tiring when you have to carry things up and down. The room itself had a dining area with 4 chairs a wood table a balcony, a small refrigerator that the door fell off. An old stove not sure it worked or not. 1 knife 1 fork 1 plate you get the idea. The bedroom had a double bed, not a queen and bunk beds. A bureau that was not in the best shape. They clean it every day but do not always give you clean towels if you ask they will give it to you right away. They have a street level patio which was nice for sitting out on in the morning and at night. But I will say this the place had a charm to it. Again the staff was as nice as could be and accommodated as much as possible and we had 12 people. We were 100 feet from the beach. The beach itself is not a place you would go to layout you need to walk a few blocks. I would stay there again. I am very thankful for all...

Hello, I am staying in the hotel and the service is not bad, the rooms are very small and not well maintained as far as maintenance is concerned. house keeping is okay they make the beds everyday and clean up the rooms as they should, the A/c is cold though... But my biggest issue is that there is no Hot water to shower with. (also the water head for the shower is missing, so is that of my friend staying in the room next to me.) No elevator either I'm on the third floor... Its a shame because for the price which is very cheap they could of charged just a little bit more to add small water heaters just for the shower.
