Caribbean Team — Restaurant in Santa Marta

I would not recommend this place. Caution when ordering:

My partner and I sat down for an afternoon cocktail. We thought we'd take advantage of the 2 for 20 "promotion". I asked the server if it mattered whether we ordered 2 mojitos or 1 mojito and 1 gin/tonic (did we have to order 2 of the same for the promotion to be honored). He said we could have either.

After we each had one drink, I wanted to pay. We were charged full price for both drinks. He said he misunderstood and we both needed to each have 2 drinks for the promotion to be honored. It was his mistake. He admitted. But we still needed to pay full price.

This seems to be a recurring thing in Colombia. Although the establishments make mistakes, the customer is still obligated to pay.

Caution when ordering at this...

We went for dinner on a Thursday evening. The food was ok but the service was not good… we waited for almost an hour to get our dishes. Other tables who arrived later than us got their food earlier which seems like that if you order chicken wings it would be quick but if you order dinner dishes it will just take forever. We also had to ask twice for the check because the first time the waiter simply just forgot about it after multitasking. To be fair they have more than enough waiters for the amount of tables they have and I feel they just need to pay more attention to the needs of their customers rather than...

Really slow service, inattentive waiter. Mediocre food at best, and a little expensive for the quality.

It does have a nice view and a great breeze, but all of their speakers are positioned to face inward at the tables, and they like to play the music loudly. Makes it hard to have a conversation.

The food itself was just all oddly very sweet, and mostly overcooked. Not sure if it was microwaved, but the bread crust on one of the dishes was so hard that I could barely cut through it.

If you are just going for drinks it might be ok, I would not recommend...
