Villa Kristonia Hvar — Hotel in Grad Hvar

My husband and I just returned from a two and a half week trip through Croatia and Italy. We really enjoyed staying at Villa Kristonia in Hvar. I found the rental through VRBO.com, and later realized it was on tripadvisor. I was concerned that there have be no recent reviews- I was worried for NO REASON! ||Mila was a wonderful host. They picked us us at the ferry port upon our arrival. She answered many of our questions about the island and made us feel at home. ||||We had booked the top floor apartment and the views were just to die for! We had breakfast and coffee every morning and wine every evening on our private balcony, watching all the sailboats and yachts pass us by. ||||The apartment had all the amenities we needed. The location was also perfect for us. It was about a fifteen minute walk into the harbor of Hvar, or a fifteen minute walk in the other direction to my one of my favorite beaches to date. While a fifteen minute walk may seem long- it is really not bad, considering the view you get on the way. We spent a lovely 5 days on Hvar, A beautiful island, and Hvar town was the perfect base for us to explore. What made the stay extra special was the apartment we stayed in. We made a very late booking and Mila was extremely prompt in getting back to us and confirming it for us.||Upon arrival we were shown our room and were very pleased to find that we had been upgraded to what must have been one of the best apartments (at the top). It was just out of season, so I guess this helped make that possible. The views of the sea were fantastic and all encompassing, making sitting on the balcony a real pleasure. What struck us most was that despite only being a 15 minute walk from the main Harbor, the surroundings were almost totally silent except for the odd boat passing by, and the sound of the birds. Just another 15 minutes from the Apartment in the opposite direction to the Harbor is a lovely little cove with 2 lovely restaurants. ||||Mila was the perfect hostess, showing us to our apartment, giving us a quick run down of the facilities and then leaving us to it. We recently stayed at Villa Kristonia and honestly, it exceeded all expectations. The location is absolutely perfect, just steps away from the sea with a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The view is breathtaking, especially during sunset. The villa itself is very clean, modern, and fully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay.

Kristian, our host, was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He made check-in easy, gave us great local recommendations, and was always available if we needed anything.
