Golden Gate Rooms Palace — Hotel in Grad Split

I am biased - the host is my partner's cousin and we stayed in one of the apartments for a very memorable New Year's Eve.

I have travelled extensively for 30 years.

These apartments are: very clean the bed 🛌 is comfortable the location is superb. I love the little balcony accessible by a spiral staircase - so be aware of this. I don't have great eyesight but got used to the stairs

The host is Split. His family and his father's family lived in the Old Town. It is a privilege to be able to hear stories of a childhood in this beautiful city.

It is located within the UNESCO protected Diocletian’s palace.

They’ve got AC, spacious room with shower, closet, small table, chairs etc. No elevator, tiny stairs only but the owner was really friendly and they are always available to help you!

It was a bit noisy during the night time as you hear drunk people passing by the area….

Stay was amazing and the place is very easy accessible, there are lots of coffee shops, restaurants, etc around. It took about 30min, you’ll need to walk may be. 3-5min walk to reach here as cars can not enter this...

Excellent location - in the old city walls - just. This means that you are where the action and ambiance is without being right in where it's hard to take your luggage. At the Golden Gate it is also quieter. The rooms are well fitted out but you have to climb several flights of wooden spiral steps before you reach the rooms.
