I stayed here with my friend for a long weekend and I have to say that from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we thought the service, location and the accommodation was fantastic!||||We arrived earlier than anticipated with our flight and when we emailed the host to see if we could get to the apartments earlier she responded almost immediately and was extremely accommodating. When we arrived the team checked us in and our room wasn't ready so she offered us breakfast and coffee while we waited, which was a proper continental breakfast and delicious. ||||We also had two early excursions on two of the days and they came early to set up breakfast and even created a packed lunch with a sandwich, fruit and cold coffees as they knew we wouldn't be able to have enough time to eat breakfast. So lovely and unexpected!||||The room was clean and comfortable and they have a separate area for breakfast. With only three rooms, you get excellent service and they are always happy to help and provide advice on things to do and see. ||||Checkout was also a breeze and we were able to keep our suitcases in their secure flats until we needed to leave in the afternoon. I would highly recommend this place and it only enhanced our experience. ||||Thank you for a great time and I will be sending others their way if they...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Palace Augubio! When we booked our room, Palace Augubio offered to have a taxi meet us at the airport, and this was very helpful because we might have had some difficulty finding the B&B on our own, mainly due to the language barrier and our jet lag! The taxi service also helped us with our luggage, as it was a short walk through the North Gate of Diocletian's Palace and up a flight of stairs to our room. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, clean and very comfortable, especially considering we were staying inside the walls of a 15th century palace! The location of this lovely B&B is perfect for exploring the old town of Split, walking to the ferry terminals to catch a ferry to one of the nearby islands, or walking up Marjan Hill for a terrific view of the Adriatic Sea! At night we were steps away from the town square, where we sipped our cocktails and listened to live music. One of the best parts of our stay was meeting the family that runs Palace Augubio! They could not have been more helpful and courteous as they set our our breakfast, made sure we had enough coffee, and offered tips for exploring Split! We highly recommend Palace Augubio and hope we can return again...
Read moreLovely room within an old palace, comfortable bed, very clean overlooking old buildings. Unfortunately our private taxi hire only took us to the outside of the historic walls due to no traffic inside and left us there to find our own way which after a long early flight and the humidity that hit us was quite daunting being in our mid 60,s and dragging 2 heavy suitcases and 2 large bags around the maze of narrow streets to find the apartments up a side street well hidden from sight. We eventually asked a very helpful waiter and he found the place using his google maps. Once I climbed 2 flights of steep stairs to only find an intercom and no staff to help with bags I was exhausted. My husband eventually got both heavy cases up the stairs and into our lovely room. Being right next to the bell tower, you are awoken with the ringing of the bells at 6.00 a.m. and 7 a.m. It is though a beautiful setting with great restaurant's and bars all around and also fabulous ice cream shops and I would recommend the palace Audubo but bear in mind the climb if you have...
