Absolutely love the staff here. Always welcomed with a warm smile from Carla and an offer for coffee or wine. The staff is extremely welcoming. Andy takes your bags up to your room so you don’t have to haul them up the stairs, which in my case was about 70 pounds. Can’t say enough nice things about the hotel or the team that work here. ||The rooms are gorgeous, spacious with a small fridge, excellent air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a nice sized bathroom. The soaps and lotions offered are high quality citrus smelling L’Occitane. ||As you walk in, you’re going through an adorable little bar that has delicious cocktails and feels like you are joining friends in their courtyard for a summer evening. The bar does not offer a full menu, only snacks. ||They have a nice variety of food for breakfast. They make the eggs fresh whether you want scrambled, an omelette or fried. They offer all kinds of toppings for the eggs, such as cheese, ham, mushrooms or Avocado which our friend Andy calls “green butter”. The coffee they make for breakfast is yummy. There are several options for coffee espresso, latte, cappuccino or black. ||The hotel is centrally, located in the heart of the old town, Diocletian palace location. We found out that the hotel itself is part of the servants, quarters for the original palace. It’s next-door to many shops and delicious restaurants. The receptionist provides excellent recommendations for food and for the best ATMs to use if needed. The opera center is close enough that you are serenade at night. ||We went for a day trip in which we left at 6 AM. Kresimir (Chris) pre-packed a breakfast of granola bars, nuts, fruit and waters. Was so lovely of him to take such good care of us so we could make it thru the full day at the national park without passing out. ||Upon exit, patrons are threatened within an inch of their life not to take their luggage. “Leave the luggage in your room or it will be destroyed for security reasons”. They have a smooth system and we love the humor used to emphasize the importance of allowing the team to handle the luggage. ||We have been here twice already and intend to be repeat offenders! Highly recommended!...
Read moreFirst of all the one star reviews refer to the outside bar which seems to be separately managed from the hotel, so anyone staying at the hotel should disregard these reviews. The hotel welcomes cards including Amex! The bar takes cash, or charge to the room if you are in the hotel, not sure about the cards.
We stayed overnight at the hotel as our flight into Split landed in the evening and we decided to stay at the Judita prior to crossing to Sutivan the next day. The hotel is located in a busy plaza at the centre of the old town with lots of buzz and a cafe atomosphere. Within 50 metres are Bokeria (amazing restaurant), and fresh ice cream, bread and chocolate shops!
Andreas who runs the show is charming, helpful and industrious, meeting our taxi at the outskirts of the pedestrianised area where the hotel is located, carried our cases to the hotel and up to our rooms. His positive attitude runs through the staff with everyone being attentive.
You reach reception through the bar and up a flight of stone steps so not recommended for those who cannot use stairs.
The hotel is charming, rooms are well appointed with aircom and the usual amenities. Breakfast at 0700-1000 includes cooked (the freshly cooked scrambled eggs and crispy bacon were perfect) plus buffet and Andreas made a point that the 1000 was not a hard stop and we arrived down at 1015 and were served with a smile.
I recommend room 103 that has its own private balcony with table and...
Read moreOur stay at Judita Palace Hotel was nothing short of amazing. Starting with the fantastic helpful staff especially Andre, Marija, Carla and Mariana. We had issues with our mobile phones and communicating with the hotel had been challenging when we arrived at the airport, but they did everything they could to make sure Andre would find us once we got into town and we made it safely to the hotel. Truly dedicated, professional and friendly staff. Andre was incredibly knowledgeable providing tips for places to go or avoid and his sense of humor was the best. The hotel is charming, clean and in a beautiful square near the best gelato in town, Amare. The courtyard bar is cozy, charming and romantic. The cocktails delicious. The breakfast Mariana and her team prepared every morning was absolutely 5 stars! The impeccably set tables and beautiful room were a joy to start the day. She makes the best coffee as well. We will remember our stay here very fondly and look forward to our next...
