My husband and I had the pleasure of staying three nights in this delightful hotel in the historic centre of Split recently. On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely young lady called Anna who made our day when she told us we had received a complimentary upgrade on our room. This was such a lovely surprise for two reasons: it has never happened to us before and it was also going to be our 30th Wedding Anniversary in two days (the hotel was not aware of this when we were given the upgrade). We were so grateful for this. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a street view and it was absolutely lovely and very spacious, as was the gorgeous bathroom with Rituals products đ The room was spotless and was cleaned every day. We had breakfast in the hotel which was varied and delicious with the added bonus being that the staff would make you a coffee of your choice, upon request. We had a lovely surprise from the hotel on the day of our anniversary when they left some lovely chocolates and a card in our room. This was such a lovely gesture, as they only found out about this upon our arrival - thank you, Anna! All in all, we had a perfect stay in this hotel - not only is it totally charming with a gorgeous terrace with sun beds, with towels provided, and a jacuzzi (sadly, we didnât have time to use this) but it has to be in the best location in Split. Everything you need to see and do is literally right there as soon as you step outside. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quality stay in Split and we would just like to say a huge thank you to all the lovely, helpful and smiling staff for making our stay...

Now, the hotel: rooms dark. Great if you plan on being drunk the entire time with hangovers.
Aircon LOUD.
Food, over priced and definitely a rip off compared to other places we ate at.
Concierge, what concierge. Ask about hair salons, and one of them said "I get my hair done by my friend's salon, so I don't know any around here". Well, that was helpful.
Ask about getting a private boat to take us around, well, they said we have a company we get a referral fee from you can book yourself, here is the QR code. Wow.
Ask about restaurants, the answer was " they are all good, just walk around".
Ask how to buy tickets to one of the islands "you walk and see where all the boats are". Really helpful. As it is a bit more complicated as there are several ferry companies and each have their own outlet all over the bloody place. And different piers!
As I said, hotel location isn the old city and that's like a modern day shopping mall.
Would I return ? So many other choices, cities, islands, hard to come back to this.
Ps. Restaurant staff, did their job and were pleasant once they knew you were a...

Itâs in the middle of the old town, surrounded by various restaurants, bars and cafes. We stayed on the first floor and IF the window is open, there comes noise from the people passing by but for us it wasnât at a disturbing level. When the window is closed there is no problem. The breakfast was good with various options both for vegans and mainstream foodies. Air conditioner was good and working properly. The bed was not as I would like; a bit bouncy and soft for my taste. But it was clean and fresh. The room was comfortable, having enough space for everything. Everything was as described in the hotel page. For us the highlight of the stay was the two different receptionists. One of them was helping us to get medical assistance with her very accurate and relevant advice. She and the public hospital staff saved our vacation. The other receptionist gave us the very much needed mosquito repellent and saved our night sleep. If you want to stay in the heart of Split old town and feel welcomed while not paying a fortune, this hotel is the best...
