This is not a hotel, it's a few rooms located in a building on a very large, dirty and noisy square full of restaurants and bars. The night life doesn't end until 2 am. My husband and I couldn't find the hotel and the road to it for hours. We asked Taxi drivers and even police, no one knew such a "hotel". They just told us where the square was and how to drive there by car no one could explain. I left my husband in the car and walked to the square. I asked many restaurants owners and people on the streets, I finally found the place. I was relieved, but not for long. Huge square and first floor of all the buildings are restaurants and bars with lots of people sitting outside drinking, talking, laughing. Everywhere smelt like food and alcohol. Next to the bar there was a door. I walked a few floors up and on the 3rd floor found sign reception, but the door was locked and an envelope with my name was attached by tape to the door. It was the key for our room. It was 10:47 pm. no one was there. So to make story short, there was no one there to help us with the parking situation, and to tell us how to get to the hotel. There was no elevator, no help with the luggage. Trying to carry huge suitcases to the fourth floor was very difficult. There was no parking, and the worst thing was that we did not know how to get there by the car at all. After cruising and looking for parking for a few more hrs, my husband drove on blocked pedestrian zone to the square. We finally found a parking spot when someone moved their car but we could not pay for it, because parking meter was broken. We had free parking until 630am. We finally got to our room at 1:22 am that day.. The room was so tiny, with two windows in the ceiling. The bathroom is so small that two people can't even fit inside at the same time. The bed was small and very uncomfortable with cheap linens. We couldn't fall asleep because of all the noise outside, and after we finally did, were awoken at 7 am due to noise from the restaurants getting ready for breakfast. We got ready and left the room. We saw the reception lady and we told her how disappointed we were, she just said that...
Read moreWe just returned from an absolutely magical stay at Procurator 7 Luxury Rooms in Split, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our Croatian adventure. Nestled right on Republic Square in a stunning UNESCO-listed heritage building, this boutique guesthouse blends historic elegance with modern comforts in the most seamless way. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special – the prime location meant we were just steps from the Riva Promenade, Diocletian’s Palace, and the bustling old town, yet the rooms offered a serene escape from the vibrant energy outside. Our room was impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and flooded with natural light! What truly elevated our stay was the warm, welcome from Anna!
We can’t recommend Procurator 7 enough; it’s exceptional value for the luxury it delivers, especially in such a central yet peaceful setting. If you’re heading to Split, book this place – you won’t be disappointed. Five stars all the way! We’d return in a heartbeat.
Pro tip: the property has no lift (just like many of these historical buildings in the area), so make sure your luggage is not too heavy (or have someone with you who’s prepare to do the heavy lifting)! It’s easy to overlook this “problem” once you enter...
Read moreRecently returned from a trip to split and stayed in procurator7 hotel. This was a very disappointing stay. Firstly we had to climb 3 stories of stairs which were very badly lit carrying our suitcases. The hotel seems to be run by a few very amateur young girls that don't seem to know anything about the hotel. The young girl that booked us in hardly even said hello and handed us the key to the room but failed to tell us where it was. We had to ask her everything.. Where was breakfast served. It turned out that you had to book your breakfast the night before by ticking items on a piece of card. The breakfast was served up another two flights of stairs and by the time it arrived it was cold. The so called fruit was two slices of oranges and a slice of kiwi fruit. It was very inadequate. Again served by a couple of girls that didn't seem to know how to smile. The room was barely adequate. It was suppose to be a city view but the windows were 7 feet high so definitely no view. It was also very hot and we were unable to turn the temperature down. The manager was never around and obviously left the running of the hotel to these young women. It definetly was not worth the money and there are much better places to...
