First of all, this hotel does not have parking as it indicates on booking sites. If you are driving, parking is a nightmare in Zadar. The parking, just outside the walls, is temporary, needs to be funded often. Suggest you use the parking garage on the other side of the water about a 15 minute walk.||||Okay now on to the hotel. It is a very small hotel, great location just inside one of the gates to the walled city. We had the only room with a balcony and it was large and clean. You have to walk up stairs inside the room to access bedroom and shower-only bath. Balcony has a table with two chairs, nice to sit out at night once the sun goes down - during the day the sun exposure is hot in the summer.||||Suggest you forego breakfast, it is not worth the extra cost - canned fruit, yogurt, basic stuff. Reception is not 24 hours so keys are provided for access at all hours. We needed help with our bags, to go up those stairs in the room, and the young lady at the front desk had to call her husband to come and help us - he was not real happy.||||Zadar is a fabulous town and this hotel would be a good option for proximity to walking tours and a variety of restaurants...
Read moreI don't like to give low reviews, but this place really felt like false advertising. It just simply is not a 4-star experience.
Pros: The location was wonderful in the heart of Zadar Old City.
Cons: Our room had no windows. The only light that got in was from the frosted half-window at the doors of the room. They tell me that other rooms on upper floors have windows, but 1/5 of the rooms does not.
There is no concierge to meet you. You have to call a number, and they tell you where to find the key. It all worked out OK because they did answer the phone and we did find the key, but it does mean that there is no one around to ask questions, get tips on what to do in Zadar.
There was no room cleaning, and no one there in person to ask for even new towels.
There is also no parking, and we only found public overnight parking that was 15-minutes from the hotel.
In the end, we still had a good time in Zadar, but this hotel did not meet my...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel in Zadar for two nights and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and amenities nearby, yet the area remains peaceful and quiet. The hotel is small and cozy, with beautifully decorated rooms. The air conditioning, shower, and other facilities worked perfectly, and the small fridge was sufficient for storing a couple of bottles of drinks.
However, there were a few downsides. There was no staff available in person, which made communication challenging. Additionally, we received conflicting information about the checkout time, with emails stating either 10 AM or 11 AM, and the cleaning staff arrived at our door at 9:50 AM before we had checked out. Lastly, as far as I know, there was no luggage storage available, which was inconvenient when we were leaving.
Despite the few issues, the hotel’s great location and cozy atmosphere made for a mostly...
