Hotel Palatin — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

Spent two nights at this hotel had two rooms, Rooms: 1 and 17. The hotel is value for money. It is central to everything in Karlovy Vary along the main pedestrian street that links Grand Hotel Pupp to Thermal Hotel. The hotel is situated in a historic building and has kept its high ceilings and wide staircase. They have updated the rooms with clean, modern but simple furniture. The bathrooms were modern and clean. Overall the rooms were better than average and on point for the price. The breakfast was good. They had hot and cold items, breads, cheeses, meats, vegetables and they even made my sons omelettes. The Coffee was from bean-to-cup and was very good. The juices could be better, something that has more real fruit juice. The breakfast ladies were all very kind and attentive. The WIFI was consistent and strong.||||They should think about putting kettles or coffee makers in the room. Also the cable channels could use a couple more English stations. ||||Parking is the biggest issue with the property. Great location, in the middle of the best pedestrian shopping street (half way between Elisabeth spa and the end of the shopping street)||+ Very clean room and bathroom, towels and bed linen felt very fresh ||+ Good planning of the rooms: quiet, high ceilings, beautiful large windows. Big bathroom with his and hers sinks.||+ Service was like at a 5 star hotel. Polite receptionists (I met three of them) willing to help you. They called my spa for me asking what I should bring with me and to check my schedule, kept track of when I was out of my room (they managed to clean it while I ate breakfast - I was surprised), made me gluten free porridge for breakfast since there were limited options for me otherwise.||+ Good breakfast. I'm gluten intolerant, meaning I can't have muesli, bread and the cakes. First of all the staff of the hotel is very very nice and helpfull two ladies were at the reception are so nice they smile all the time and were very happy to answer all questions. The hotel is situated in a pedestrian street and is really good our room was good in size with a good shower the breakfast was really good the cleanliness was ok the only minus was the absence of airconditionning in the room you have just a fan but that wasn t a problem for us because the weather wasn t hot.
