Spa Hotel Panorama Karlovy Vary — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

2 stars maximum, but for sure not 4! It was one of the most disappointing service experiences we've ever had.

1. food: during first 4 days of our stay we had rice. Rice for lunch (soup with rice, rice as side dish with meat, sweet rice for the dessert), rice for dinner. 4 days!!, untill I asked the chef maybe we could have something else?.. Food was never diverse and never tasty, there are 3-5 dishes the chef cooks, and nothing else. Maybe because the hotel saves literally on everything, on products as well?
2. the spa treatments are not only similar to all other hotels but are performed by personnel who can't even explain why this or that treatment or procedure is useful/helpful, what actually happens to the body, etc. The personnel work there for a couple of months, so it's a seasonal job, and NO ONE cares about the quality of the services. INCLUDING THE MANAGEMENT. The same guy is a driver, a cleaner and the one who repairs stuff if something is broken (like a door knob which fell off at the first day). So yes, the hotel tries to save on everything, and the quality is poor.
3. we were two guests in double room with full board for 10 days. I left earlier (it was known in advance), so the money paid for full board couldn't be reimbursed in no possible form. The only thing that was done, is that treatments for these remaining days were transferred to the guest who stayed. But that's not what you expect from 4 stars hotel. If you care about your guests, you try to make them satisfied (for them to come back and bring you more money!), at least with free transfer. ZERO LEVEL OF INDIVIDUAL APPROACH.
4. not service-related, but still - the location is suitable only for really sportive people, who aren't afraid of going up and down a very steep hill . It will take you 15 minutes to get down to colonades, and more time to get up the hill, back to the hotel, if you are not super sportive or not that young. It is an issue! ...just...

Our party of four business travelers had an extra day to kill, so we detoured to Karlovy Vary on the way to Bavaria. And we booked this room on the fly three hours out and arrived at sundown. As others have mentioned, the staff is friendly and service-oriented and happy to patch up the language gaps. They ordered in a pizza delivery for us at midnight and served beer from the closed bar area out on the rear patio.||||Rooms reasonably priced, large and dated, but completely functional and very clean. As with most European hotels of this type, no A/C or elevator.||||Very good breakfast the next morning and as the name suggests, in sunlight, there was the fantastic view of the old city from the building and terrace. Although it seems like a long drive to the hotel, you actually are right above the city, with a 5 minute walk (down!) to the main thermal springs.||||The "medical spa" aspect of the city is evident at many of the Karlovy Vary hotels and so expect to see some of the folks wandering around the halls in robes and going to the spa, which doesn't seem like an elegant facial or massage-type experience...

The place is small and well organized. Very nice people, always ready to help. This is my first time in karlovy vary and I had a lot of questions to guide me, they've been so patient and nicely navigate me where to go and what to do. All treatments done just on time. You would not see a hundreds of food options as I used to in new York but cook is Georgian and he knows what he is doing. Although I walked here a lot, I still gained weight. Couldn't stop eating. If you are in a good shape this place will be right for you. For elderly this will be not a good choice because of location. You would have to walk up and down to the hills in order to get to the spring water which we do at least 3 times a day. That was a reason to chose this place for myself. I like to keep my shape and do walking and jogging a lot. Because of location this place is a little bit cheaper. But I like it when I open my window and see the perfect view...
