After spending spending two nights here after booking the "wellness package dream for two" I am leaving the following review:
The rooms and view are really great as it is centered right next to the thermal museum. The welcoming and service were excellent, we were greeted with a rustical clean room, really helpful service and a bottle of Bohemian Sekt as described in the package.
The breakfast has a wide variety of food to choose from, it differs from day to day, and it was quite well.
We had a feet massage included in the package and it was extremely relaxing, even though the ambience was quite simple, at the end of the day it was enjoyable and pleasant.
However, I can't recommend the included "candlelight dinner" as it is located in a nearby hotel with quite unhelpful staff and it was not possible to locate the included dinner, the restaurant was full, loud and shabby and there was no service and certainly no candlelight. Eat in a nearby restaurant instead, you will get more value and joy out of that. There are more than plenty of way to eat out in Karlovy Vary.
The thermarium, which consists of a two Saunas, a Salt Cave and a whirlpool is nice to visit, however in our case we had some loudmouth people that were inside even though when we booked it, the list seemed empty. It supposed to fit 6 people, however, it is absolutely unenjoyable being there with others, as it is quite small and certainly not romantic when you have to share such a small space with others, in my personal opinion. You can always book time there regardless of your package, for a small fee.
This hotel is excellent for a visit and overnight stay with excellent staff and view and location, but, in my humble opinion, I can't recommend the wellness packages. Check your choices, as...
Read moreDear Wellness Hotel Jean de Carro, Unfortunately, my stay at your hotel was extremely bad. Well, on September 21, 2025, I turned 65 and retired. On this occasion, my wife and I celebrated this unforgettable event with a tour of the Czech Republic. Prague went well, then we traveled to your place for three nights. The first negative was that upon arrival (1:15 p.m.) they did not allow us to occupy the room. I accepted this, since check-in was from 2:00 p.m., but it was a shame because the room was already ready. The first evening's dinner was okay. The second evening I asked for a glass of beer with dinner. I did not receive it, so I called again, I did not receive it, so I called again, I did not receive it. I finished dinner, then the waitress (whom I had called three times before) came over and asked if I wanted a beer??? This was the second, more serious slap in the face. But the third dinner was the most unpleasant. We sat in our seats for 40 minutes and did not receive our dinner. The people at the neighboring tables came later and received all their orders, and we did not receive anything. It was also interesting that the chicken we ordered was taken to the neighboring table, but it was not the one they ordered!!! Of course, they took it back, but they did not bring us dinner after that either. After that, we got up and went up to the room without dinner. I do not know if this deep dislike was directed at us personally or if it just happened that way, but we left the hotel with very bad memories. I wrote this letter only so that they would pay more attention to this and not spoil anyone else's rest. Best regards:...
Read morePros: -amazing location and view -very central, you can reach the restaurants and shops very easily
Cons: -breakfast not very good (the egg i ate was overcooked to the point where it was grey/green) -extremely noisy: you can hear anything anyone is doing, we had to move rooms because on the first floor there is a super loud noise from the fridges that keeps you up all night, also the minifridges are very loud we had to unplug them -bugs everywhere: i saw multiple bugs in the bathroom crawling out of the walls and flies and bugs in the breakfast dining area -the non-receptionist staff is kinda rude and looks at you angrily
Overall I wouldnt come here again but I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because they let us move rooms to avoid the loud noise so that was nice.
In general it wasnt very pleasant staying here but it was okay I guess. Without the bugs and the noise it...
