Prezident — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

We have stayed at the Prezident hotel for a few days in June 2024. This was our first experience with the hotel and now we are sure that not the last one. We have ben enthusiastic from the beginning of our stay. The hotel is like a well-adjusted machine working on high professional levels starting from chambermaids through the hotel reception, restaurant staff on the 2nd floor, balneology on the 8th floor and ending with the head physician MUDr. Milada Sárová. All staff has treated us kindly and with a smile. Our room was spacious, clean, mantained daily, equipped with the TV and free wifi connection. Fantastic food served in a large variety for all daily meals in a buffet style was pleasant surprise to us every day. Vegetable salads, fruits, cheeses, sweets and icecreams were always included. The services and curative procedures at the balneology department, selected at the beginning of our stay on the basis of the entrance interview with MUDr. Sárová, were highly professional, pleasant, and provided by always smiling and communicative staff. Swimming pool equipped with the built-in water massage jets and several kinds of sauna were good choices for relaxing. The open-air terrace offering wonderfull view of the Karlovy Vary city was the good place for the rest in comfortable armchairs after the procedures. Good point of the hotel is its location close (few minutes walk) to several hot mineral water springs which makes easy to drink mineral waters before each meal as recommended.||Summed up: the Prezident hotel is one of the best places we have ever visited. It might be the best choice for those who look for the high level accomodation, healthy and well-balanced gastronomy, and highly professional balneology curative and wellness services. After visiting the spa town of Karlovy Vary in Czech Republic for couple days few years back, we knew that we have to come back for a longer stay. After some research we settled on a Hotel Prezident. And it was a bullseye! The eight day "weight reduction" program was a revelation. With 3 spa treatments a day, very nice, modern accommodations and a 5 star meals (endless, highest quality buffet) 3 times a day, we were in heaven. Except, we selected the "weight loss" program, which ment special meals for us. We were just lustfully eyeing the buffet. Not that our special, low calorie meals were not good. Quite the opposite, but still, the buffet!!!... The way this program works is you get an initial consultation with a doctor, who then prescribes all your spa treatments. 3 times a day before meals, you walk into the town full of mineral springs (literally yards away) to have a cup of mineral water before your meal. Then you surrender yourself to the spa attendants. I don't know which treatment I liked more, they were each a very special experience. From massages, the "Scotch Douche" to pearl baths, mud wraps, hot paraffin wax treatments, oxygen therapy, Co2 baths, beer baths and so on!||Plus pool exercises in a spectacular pool, several different saunas, fitness room, outdoor terrace and garden, you name it.||And the price was a knockout!||We are definitively going back!||But we'll take the advice of the owner, Dr Sárová:||"Next time just skip the diet....
