Hostal paraiso — Hotel in Parroquia Bella Vista

The hostal is centrally located, clean, but with what you could call lukewarm shower at best. We enjoyed the opportunity to have Breakfast on the rooftop with room fridge for storing fresh products. Yet, No opportunity for cooking water or meals seemed to be a loss of adding value to a some what spartan place. Staff was helpful in satisfying requests, but the 8 am check out requirement is the strictest we found in 4 weeks travelling Ecuador. Lots of upside for product development. The first night was the worst stay in Galapagos, loud music nearby all night long. If you seek a good night's rest to enjoy Galapagos, go somewhere else. They offered a refund or a switch of a room to a lower level. We chose the latter. The second night was quiet. The owner themselves have been apologetic and understanding. Great value convenient and walkable to everything you need in town. Front desk service was very helpful and friendly, and daily cleaning was great. Air conditioner worked well. The one issue was hot water was just luke warm in shower. It uses an electric heater on the spout of shower, which is fairly common when traveling in Latin america.
