This lodge is welcoming and fanciful in the AMAZING way that Victor built it, more intricate and sculpted than the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse, with innovative staircases, bottle & tilework, portholes and windows, textured walls and beams, wrapping into trees and vegetation. SO IMAGIANITIVE!!| Victor was essential in setting up our second leg of our Galapgos adventure after our cruise. He got us over to Isabela and tours there, and he provided warm conversation about life in Puero Ayora. I wish I had more time to get to know him! Just two blocks off the tourist strip, this is a gem, a local landmark that you shouldn't miss. It appears to be still a little quiet after the pandemic, and I hope the kitchen and entertainment deck gets lively soon. Bike rental was great for returning from the tortoise reserve, and other services were available too.| Would have loved to have fresh coffee instead of instant in the morning, but waking up in this unique treasure was worth it, and we stayed here again on our return...

A magical experience even just walking into this unique building, all hand built by the owner! Our shared room was perfect! Comfortable, AC, clean, cozy, and full of unique touches. It's pricier than the other "hostels" but you get what you pay for. We were greeted with fresh juice, a complete rundown of the islands and tours, recommendations, and even got to hangout with his sweetheart dog Cloud. There are bikes, snorkeling gear, surf, and more available at this place! Fresh water, bananas, tea. Victor & Aaron make it feel like you’re at home with them. I loved hearing all about Victor’s visions for his ecolodge.

So please visit the Galápagos Islands and support the locals! Ecuador needs it! This narrative that Ecuador is “unsafe” needs to be addressed more. The southern coast and Guayaquil are really the only places unsafe. Quito, up north, and especially the Galapagos are very safe!! Please visit and help the people of Ecuador continue their businesses and...

Our place was cute and conveniently in a central location near the main street. Victor proved to be an invaluable asset, offering assistance in scheduling tours and providing comprehensive insights into various options across the islands. His friendly demeanor added to the enjoyment of our stay. We appreciated the availability of cold water, bananas, and instant coffee throughout our visit, which was a nice touch. However, possibly due to low season, the pool was unfilled, and the bar/coffee shop was never opened. There was also some unusual dust falling from the bamboo ceiling onto the bed, and our key broke leaving our belongings exposed for the final two days of our stay. Despite these issues, our overall experience was positive, thanks to the hospitality of Victor and the comfortable...

Wow! What else can I say. Victor was an INCREDIBLE host. He was very kind and welcoming. He gave us a juice of the house on entry which was a very nice gesture! He was very helpful at telling us the best places to visit and even managed to take away the hassle of finding a decent tour company and booking an excursion. The excursion was fantastic, we swam with giant tortoises, sharks and seals. A bonus was that he put us on a tour with other like-minded individuals to which we actually went on to spend some more time together for a few days after the trip. The rooms were very clean and well what can i say about the décor.. absolutely amazing, wherever you look theres something that make you say 'whoa'. If i ever return to the Galapagos, we're coming straight back here! Thanks again!

✅ In my last week visiting Santa Cruz I decided to change the neighborhood and settled in to spend a few days in this wonderful place. from afar large bouganville plants are imposing. As soon as you enter you have to cross a very picturesque wooden bridge. When I saw several options, I stayed with the terracotta red room, with an en-suite bathroom and a small room very close to the pool, which was empty, I still prefer to go to the beach and At night it was not so hot to enter the water. You can drink coffee or tea all the time, the dispenser is in the patio. The building has several levels, everything is made with ecological materials. My favorite is a small terrace where there is a living room and a Paraguayan hammock, there I would read or catch up with my travel blog because there is Wi-Fi everywhere. I rented a bicycle to get around, I reached the station beach in 10 minutes and left it alone without a lock. One of the things that I liked the most about the islands is the security, as well as its people, super friendly and affectionate. I highly recommend this place for a few days of rest in a different and colorful place.

Victor and Aaron were very kind offering suggestions and assistance so that we could enjoy the best of Puerto Ayora. The space that this man has built here is simply magical and gives the impression of a handcrafted castle with nifty books and serene spaces everywhere you look. Anyone can build and run a sterilized chain hotel but it takes vision and care to create what Victor has here. I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights and Clout (you’ll see) was the sweetest icing on the cake!
