This lodge is welcoming and fanciful in the AMAZING way that Victor built it, more intricate and sculpted than the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse, with innovative staircases, bottle & tilework, portholes and windows, textured walls and beams, wrapping into trees and vegetation. SO IMAGIANITIVE!!| Victor was essential in setting up our second leg of our Galapgos adventure after our cruise. He got us over to Isabela and tours there, and he provided warm conversation about life in Puero Ayora. I wish I had more time to get to know him! Just two blocks off the tourist strip, this is a gem, a local landmark that you shouldn't miss. It appears to be still a little quiet after the pandemic, and I hope the kitchen and entertainment deck gets lively soon. Bike rental was great for returning from the tortoise reserve, and other services were available too.| Would have loved to have fresh coffee instead of instant in the morning, but waking up in this unique treasure was worth it, and we stayed here again on our return...
Read moreA magical experience even just walking into this unique building, all hand built by the owner! Our shared room was perfect! Comfortable, AC, clean, cozy, and full of unique touches. It's pricier than the other "hostels" but you get what you pay for. We were greeted with fresh juice, a complete rundown of the islands and tours, recommendations, and even got to hangout with his sweetheart dog Cloud. There are bikes, snorkeling gear, surf, and more available at this place! Fresh water, bananas, tea. Victor & Aaron make it feel like you’re at home with them. I loved hearing all about Victor’s visions for his ecolodge.
So please visit the Galápagos Islands and support the locals! Ecuador needs it! This narrative that Ecuador is “unsafe” needs to be addressed more. The southern coast and Guayaquil are really the only places unsafe. Quito, up north, and especially the Galapagos are very safe!! Please visit and help the people of Ecuador continue their businesses and...
Read moreOur place was cute and conveniently in a central location near the main street. Victor proved to be an invaluable asset, offering assistance in scheduling tours and providing comprehensive insights into various options across the islands. His friendly demeanor added to the enjoyment of our stay. We appreciated the availability of cold water, bananas, and instant coffee throughout our visit, which was a nice touch. However, possibly due to low season, the pool was unfilled, and the bar/coffee shop was never opened. There was also some unusual dust falling from the bamboo ceiling onto the bed, and our key broke leaving our belongings exposed for the final two days of our stay. Despite these issues, our overall experience was positive, thanks to the hospitality of Victor and the comfortable...
