In my opinion, the Kemet Boutique Hotel offers exceptional value for your money. The location is superior to staying at hotels on the outskirts of the pyramids, which can be dirty, smelly, and overcrowded with vendors. The Kemet is easily accessible by Uber, making it a convenient choice.
Room and Amenities: We opted for the Deluxe Twin Room, which featured a spacious balcony with stunning pyramid views. The twin beds were essentially double beds, providing ample comfort. Although the lower floors were under construction, it didn't affect our stay, and the upper floors, including the rooftop restaurants, were beautifully finished. The elevator was a nice touch. The hotel was impeccably clean and comfortable, with good beds, linens, and air conditioning. The showers had plenty of hot water.
Breakfast and Dining: The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a rotating menu that offered a nice variety of dishes. We enjoyed scrambled eggs, pita, hummus, baba ganoush, beans, French fries, and falafel on two days, and hard-boiled eggs, cheese, French fries, and delicious feteer pastry with honey and molasses on the other two days. If you prefer to dine at the hotel, they offer a simple yet satisfying menu at an affordable price that they order in for you. The staff will set up a table for you on the rooftop restaurant. The view of the pyramids from the rooftop is stunning.
Staff and Location: The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and kind, never pushy about selling tours, although they do offer them. The hotel's location, just off a busy main street, means you'll hear some traffic noise, but headphones helped minimize the disturbance.
Overall, the Kemet Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice for those seeking a comfortable, convenient, and affordable stay with great views of...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Kemet Boutique Hotel in Cairo with a few of my friends. The owner, Shaimaa, was incredibly kind and treated us like family throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, she made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which really enhanced our experience.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-kept, and very comfortable, making it a perfect place to unwind after exploring. One of the highlights was the rooftop, which offered a stunning view of the Pyramids of Giza. It was amazing to enjoy this breathtaking sight while still being in the busy streets of Cairo, giving us a local experience close to the pyramids.
The hotel’s location is great—you get to experience the lively atmosphere of Cairo without being in the city’s heart. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel offered a peaceful and relaxing environment.
If you're looking for a cozy, welcoming, and conveniently located hotel near the pyramids with great service and unforgettable views, I highly recommend Kemet...
Read moreStayed here for three nights as the first stage of a week in Cairo, in order to be close to the Pyramids and the new museum (GEM). It fully lived up to expectations and offered excellent service and comfort for the price. Others have mentioned the superb view and rooftop breakfast. We enjoyed the experience of staying in the not-touristy area of Giza and felt safe throughout our time in Cairo. The unexpected ability to use Uber at very low cost made it easy to get taxis when needed. The hotel staff are friendly and will help in whatever way they can, including with a driver and guide; we booked the Pyramid tour through them and were very happy with it. The GEM is spectacular and worth visiting even though not fully open at the time of our stay. I'd love to return to Cairo when it finally is, and to see more of the city as we couldn't cover everything in a week! I will not hesitate to return to the Kemet...
