Stayed for a week in an apartment. No breakfast. No meals (so I can't comment on the hotel restaurant)
Rooms: 2 small sleeping rooms. 1 bathroom, 1 showerroom. Good size living room which includes the kitchen and dinning table. Small balcony. Hotel is located away from center so it is very quiet (and windows are thick). No bars or shops around to make late night noise. Room deposit is 650€ in case of unpaid fees. You must leave kitchen clean when leaving.
Fully equipped kitchenette,as described in their website. You get 3 dishwasher tabs (so you may want to bring more) , towel, scotch pad, soaps. Each bathroom I has small shampoo bottles, soaps. Two rolls of toilet paper. So no need to buy soaps/shampoo on arrival... Except for... the coffee machine . You will need to buy the correct capsules at the nearby supermarket. The main desk won't sell those. I will upload a picture of the capsules brand .
Hot water all day long. Rooms are warm and cozy. Didn't find any problems with heating (I read one bad review about that subject) Electric radiator in every corner that will trigger around 20:00 and 6:00 for 1h. Bed and pillows are clean and comfortable. Lots of storage space and cabinets.
Curtains: Block 90% of sunlight. Light will bleed either from floor or ceiling.
Internet: each apartment has a wifi access point to ensure maximum WiFi coverage. There is no wifi password. Speed is good and stable : 79Mbps download, 80Mbps upload . Allows VOIP, VPN applications.
Laundry: room is located inside the parking lot , near EV charging ports. you need to reserve and pay €12/2hour slot at the main desk. detergents are provided automatically (so you don't need to buy any capsules ). There is one laundry key for all the guests. After 3 days of stay I got a big cotton bag on my door. It is used to re-fill my used towels (this time : free service)..
Main desk: I read reviews about rude reception but to me they were very friendly and informative.
Spa: 2 dry sauna , 4 showers and mild (37°C) jacuzzi. Jacuzzi is for 6 persons. The temperature is so disappointing... after one visit there I preferred the room bubble bath over going to that jacuzzi. beware of the spa showers. you need to press a button for water and it will first fire ice cold water. massage is available at the spa area for 108€/50min session. Registration at the main desk.
Pool is small ,a bit cold but nice . should have been 31°C not 27.
Ski room: each room has a cabinet (Operated with the room key) . The ski room and the cabinets are heated every night at 5AM . Ski room is indeed ski in and out with 20 steps to snow.
Ski shop : rented skiset intermediate for 120€/week. When I told him I brought my personal ski boots he gave me 2€ discount. (Yes , two ). not very professional too. before going out , I told him the ski spring seems too stiff . later I crashed badly and the skies didn't de-attach. Went back to the shop and they adjusted the spring correctly. on next crash it detached. wax service is 10€ but sharpening is another 20
supermarket&dining: the hotel has many elevators which is good. for me the best shopping&dinning option : take elevator down to floor -5 , exit the hotel to the street, turn left , a tunnel, and soon after you will find the La Grange restaurant and 8hut supermarket on your right ....
Read moreWe stayed on Jan 29 - Feb 05. Big group from a dealership. The experience was shared by a group of 8 friends.
This hotel is really great! Awesome location (both for evening activities and ski in/out), great spa, very nice bedroom size and living room, but our stay there was full of inconveniences.
On our arrival day, we arrived between 17:00 to 18:00, and our rooms weren't ready. We had to wait for an extra thirty minutes at the lobby. Meanwhile we asked the staff to make sure our rooms had baths in the shower to which we received a confirmation. Later, we found out there were no baths, and that our shower water temperature was out of control and would go from extremely hot to cold sporadically.
Complaining about both to the reception staff was met with welcoming faces that had no solutions. A very nice staff member came to see about the water stream, and gave us no advice but to make do.
The breakfasts were fine, but the hotel did not adjust for the amount of people until our third or fourth day. There was a constant shortage of food and sitting places, everybody in the hotel eat at about the same time to get to the snow as soon as possible.
The ski rental store staff are very nice and professional, but most of the equipment felt a little old and well used. Our snowboard bindings were loosening frequently, and some had to replace them and the boots several times.
The bar staff were great and the crepes and waffle stand that runs from about 14:00-17:30 was amazing.
The spa was good but the temperature of the hot tub was only 37° Celsius, which is not hot enough for anyone, and 2 out of 3 saunas were cold. The hot one got no higher than 65°.
The rooms were great, apart from having to climb stairs to and from the bedroom, really a weird decision to make rooms with two floors in a ski hotel.
All in all I will not be coming back To this hotel, simply because of the shower which was very disturbing. Maybe also because of the staff meaning well, but performing...
Read moreDisappointed for the price of this place. Came as a group of friends in December. They charge a huge unnecessary deposit on arrival. We arrived at 11 and had to wait around until 6:30pm until our rooms were ready, terrible for a big hotel who already have a really late check-in time. Mainly positive experiences with staff apart from one lady on the front desk who was really rude. Location not the best as it’s right at the start of town so took 15-30mins to get to restaurants etc in town.
Labelled as ski-in ski-out, it is, but the initial slope is a really challenging blue, so impossible for the beginners in our group. Rooms were nice and tidy. No bedside tables. Bad lighting. No hooks in rooms for jackets. Window only just shut, loose fitting. Mattress was too firm. Apartment had a kitchen, but no washing up liquid, sponge, tea towel, oven glove etc, very little toilet roll so have to wait for cleaners to top up every time, lack of basics.
Swimming pool was cold!! Jacuzzi and saunas were nice. Bar area ok but not enough space or seating. The restaurant wasn’t great, half of what we wanted wasn’t available. Breakfast wasn’t good, it’s ok the first day but not after that. Had to ask everyday for ketchup, not left out. Scrambled eggs were cooked really badly. Sausages way too salty. Coffee was terrible. Tiny bit of fruit salad but then that’s it. Pastries and yogurts were nice but that’s it unfortunately. We had read reviews before coming so made sure to get down early, but we did see people complaining as we were leaving as they’d run out of food and regularly do.
Has the potential to be much better but hotel seems to be really tight with money and looking at other reviews, seems unwilling to listen to feedback where spending money is required as it gets fully...
