Bohemia Cafe — Restaurant in Paris

My Christmas Day brunch at Bohemia Café in Paris was a complete disappointment. I had heard good things about their coffee, and while the coffee was indeed decent, everything else about the experience was dreadful.

The café’s interior was freezing cold, making it impossible to enjoy the meal comfortably. It felt like no effort was made to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially on such a special day.

I ordered the Club Brunch, and it was far below average. The presentation was sloppy, with no care or attention to detail. The egg and brioche were served cold, which completely ruined the meal. My two friends ordered pancakes with syrup and chocolate, and to our horror, the sweet pancakes had framboises with visible fungus on them. The banana slices were black and dirty—something you’d never expect to see in a reputable establishment.

The open kitchen setup only made matters worse. Watching the chef work was unsettling. He showed blatant negligence in handling food, completely disregarding hygiene standards. Even worse, he was behaving rudely with his coworkers, creating an uncomfortable environment for both staff and customers. His careless and unprofessional attitude made it clear that he didn’t care about the quality of the food or the experience he was providing.

While the coffee was fine, it doesn’t make up for the awful food and the poor atmosphere. Bohemia Café seriously needs to address its hygiene, food quality, and staff professionalism. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience, let alone a special occasion...

We ordered eggs, toast, and coffee, and everything was quite good. Prices are about average for Paris, making it a solid option if you’re a tourist looking for a nice breakfast. This place has such high traffic that things can get a bit chaotic, so I’d recommend double-checking your bill before paying. It seems that their billing system is tied to the waiter rather than the table, which leads to multiple open tabs for the same table if they’re not closed out properly. I helped the server find our actual bill, and I noticed their system could use some improvements. It’s designed to track employee tasks better, but it ends up causing issues like mine—and I saw another customer with a similar problem.

Tried going to their orginal cafe, cafe baguette, but its closed for renovations which is not indicated anywhere on google or apple maps. This cafe does not have the same aesthetic, they close at 4 apparently, instead of 4:30 as listed for their other cafe hours- we walked in and immediately got greeted with “only coffee right now” (at 3:30) My girlfriend and i said that was no problem, we both wanted lattes ($14) to down and to take some photos of the coffee. I specifically asked for it to be in ceramic cups, the barista agreed and said no problem, he proceeded to give us two paper takeaway cups. I expressed to him i did not want this and it was wasteful and he did not respond. I drank it anyway and it tasted like dirt, my chai latte. The employees were rushing to close, uncomfortable vibe, no music, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. This reminded me of some weird touristy cafe you would find near...
