We booked two rooms at this hotel two months in advance for our family of four, arriving on 25 August. We specifically requested the rooms to be together. Unfortunately, on arrival we were given rooms in separate parts of the hotel, not even on the same floor or in the same building. One room was accessible by lift, so I had to stay there with my son who uses crutches, while my wife and daughter stayed in the other. This split our family, which was very disappointing.||The rooms themselves were worn out and in need of upgrades. We liked the classic style, but the furniture and condition of the rooms were poor. The hotel has no air conditioning. With outside temperatures around 25–27°C, the rooms were very hot. Only small fans were provided, and we had to keep the windows open, which made it noisy from the street well into the night. Sleeping was very difficult.||The bathrooms were also a problem. In my room, the shower drain was blocked, and the shower head had visible mold. My son refused to use it as it didn’t feel clean. The other room had the same issues plus a strong, unpleasant smell from the toilet area, which made the room uncomfortable to stay in.||Breakfast was another disappointment. The croissants were greasy, the baguette tasted old, and the omelettes served were among the worst we’ve ever had in Paris or anywhere.||Because of all these problems, we decided to check out after one night, even though we had booked for three. We moved to a nearby hotel, where the experience was completely different and very positive.||I am leaving this review to help other travelers be aware before booking. Our experience was unfortunately poor on all fronts rooms, comfort, cleanliness,...

The hotel itself it perfectly situated in Saint Germain des Pres on the left bank, a five minute's walk from the Seine, the Latin Quarter and the Musee D'Orsay. The Louvre, Musee l'Orangerie and Notre Dame are only a ten to fifteen minute walk away, and plenty of incredible Parisian establishments are within only a few minutes walk (Les Deux Magots, Brasserie Lipp, Chez Papa). We were fortunate enough to be able to stay in Ernest Hemingway's room that he shared with his first wife, Hadley, when they initially moved to Paris in December 1921. The room is beautifully preserved and was very comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely breakfast room across from the reception desk, and in the evenings we sat in the lovely interior garden and sipped champagne drinks expertly prepared for us by the hotel's staff. We've both been to Paris before, but from now on, we will be staying here at Hotel...
Read moreMy husband and I spent 4 nights in this charming hotel! The location is fabulous because it is in the heart of the Saint Germain. There is many top brasseries and cafes with in a one to 10 minute walk. Duet Magots, Cafe Flore, Ralph's, Brasserie Lipp, and Laudre to name a few. There are many beautiful shops and interior design showrooms close by. It's a short walk to the Louvre and other museums. The hotel is decorated in a gorgeous traditional French style. We loved it because we felt like we were in France not a random hotel room. Our room had antiques and fabulous silk drapes with oriental rugs. We enjoyed it!! The service was terrific and the front desk was very helpful and everyone spoke English. They have a nice breakfast with plenty of choices. The breakfast room was warm and cozy. My only negative is they do not have any snacks available during the day. They have a bar open all day and until late at night but no snacks. I highly recommend this...
