The location of this restaurant is great, menu presentation in a board was fun and the place is very clean! We enjoyed a warm welcome, and the menu is well inspired! There are very few vegetarian options, and no kids friendly options
Our meal was good: salads served with potatoes was a bit off, and the créme brulée definitely not the best I've ever had, but overall a pleasant experience. I wouldn't go back for the food but would not prever The service was in general kind (authentic French, with a bit of an attitude and indifferent, but still service is done right), until after we ordered, that we were very disappointed to be asked to abstain from discreetly singing to our two 3-year old children, because we might ruin the atmosphere for other customers. The audacity! Of course we were afraid to even speak after that and made our, otherwise very well behaved, kids be extremely quiet ! Families or parents with young children are not welcome, and I would not recommend it to anyone (obviously to parents, of course, but also others), as it's a clear discrimination against a very large part of the population. Read moreAs an American, you would probably refer to this restaurant as a hidden gem. This is where locals go to have a bite to eat, and it is quiet and reserved and delicious. If you speak a little French, it’s going to go a long way for you. Just enough to order food, really. Ate here two separate occasions on a trip to Paris. Consistent atmosphere and food quality. A cultural tip, when dining in a French restaurant, they will not come up to you and give you the check and ask you if you need things. If you want something discreetly make eye contact and politely ask. And when you need your check, politely ask for that as well. The French spent a lot longer at meal time than we do in the good old USA. One occasion I had the duck special, on another I had scallops. I went with the wine recommendation that the owner suggested. Just a great little café where you can get away...
Read moreThe true definition of “hidden gem” in Paris. Absolutely loved this place. A mom and pop restaurant where they really put their heart and soul into the service and the food. Everything tasted like a home cooked meal. And the prices were fantastic! We had the calamari beignets (so uniquely good), the pork ribs (amazing), cheeseburger, duck confit, and beef tartare. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse which the picture does not do justice at all! It was honestly THE best chocolate mousse I’ve ever had in my life period. Can’t say enough good things about this place, one of the best Paris...
