Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights, upon booking the hotel and seeing the pictures on the hotel website we were looking forward to a stay in what seemed a lovely clean day hotel but we were wrong, the hotel website photos do not reflect the hotel in reality. ||We arrived and check in was easy and the staff were friendly but it all went down hill when we went up to our room, to start the railing up the stairs is loose and there are many deep cracks as you go up the stair case but that’s not where the main problems are the room is where the issues came from. We entered the room and it looked pleasant the bed was made and the room looked clean but upon inspecting further this wasn’t to be the case. The wooden frame round the door was hanging off along the bottom and nails were sticking out of the wall, in the bathroom the shower didn’t even have a fixing to fasten it to the wall, the shower head was just left dangling and we have to improvise ourselves and use a hair bobble just so we could use the shower properly, the sink had no plug, toilet was stained and parts of the tiles broken off and just put over the gap to try cover it up, the bathroom had a funny smell and there was a hole in the ceiling from what looked like a light fitting used to be, the bedside light didn’t work and there was lots of dirt under the bed. When we realised these issues we brought them up with reception straight away to be told the hotel was under renovation (there is no sign of any work been done to the hotel) they asked when we were checking out and basically told us without using words that our issues wouldn’t be resolved before we left and they weren’t although on the second to last day they pulled the wooden frame round the door off leave several nails sticking out which could of caused us injury. A finally thing to add to this room and the final straw was some may say was when we came back from a day out to find that the so called ‘fresh bedding’ was in fact stained with poo and blood to which I was disgusted by. This is not acceptable for a hotel and I will defiantly not be staying here again or recommending the hotel to a friend. If anything positive was to come from this hotel it would be its location and the fact the bed was comfy and the shower was warm if this wasn’t the case we probably would of looked to move hotel straight away. Improvements are needed straight away for this hotel. Very...
Read moreI am a well travelled person, travelling on average 3 times a month & have stayed at all levels of hotels.. This hotel was a terrible disappointment. ||||The rooms did not resemble by any stretch of the imagination the photos they have on line. If i was so incide i would take the matter further with which ever governing body it pertains but i just dont have the time or inclination.||||The rooms are of very poor rundown quality. Furniture brocken and bathrooms with brocken tiles, no extractor fan and brocken shower heads.||||No air conditioning which means that during any warm month the rooms are like an oven, which means that it is impossible to sleep.||||The first room we were offered, looked just like what i would imagine was a basic hostel with no star rating or a YMCA room. ||||Shocking for 200 pounds sterling a night; we were totally ripped off and I am left very very dissapointment and felt the absolute need as a Senor Contributed to TripAdviser, to write this report.. If you check my reviews i avoid at all cost to write anything negative reviews; in fact I think this is my first.......||||The staff memeber that checked us in was behond rude and obnoxious, and i was left insulted and felt it best to just keep quiet.||||Regretably, I confess that I would not send my worst enemy to this establishment.||||What could I say that was positive? The matresses were comfortable & the location good for our needs. Thats it.||||I read a bad review about this place and still decided to try it out as the location was what we needed, big mistake....... very...
Read moreIn general, the place is OK-ish. Service is good, people are nice and speak several languages. The breakfast is quite poor, but the croissants are were nice, but if you’re staying for a while you’ll just get bored of the same food.
Breakfast: It’s basically croissants, small baguette bread, cheap coffee, one type of Lipton black tea, milk, cereal (2 types), juice, butter, jam, honey and apple purée. Trust me you’ll get tired of this food after 3 days.
Room: The beds are comfortable, room was heated, no AC. Electricity sockets weren’t in a comfortable place (they were under the table far from the bed). We had 2 beds joined together but they always kept drifting apart which is annoying. The hair dryer was half broken, they have these stationary ones. They provided us with shampoo and soap. Unfortunately no slippers and no “do not disturb” or “please clean the room” signs. The acoustics in the room and hall... it’s just easier to say that they don’t have any noise cancellation. We could hear EVERYTHING.
The building: The building in general is OK. Looks clean and nice. Elevator is small though, it fits like 3 people max, so keep that in mind.
Location: Probably the best thing about this hotel is its location. We were in Paris when the subway wasn’t working because of the strike but we could get basically everywhere we wanted on foot. We didn’t use public transportation at all. Also not the worst neighborhood.
Also fun fact, every night at around 01 am local time, we could smell...
