Firstly, avoid this hotel if you are Asian. This is a common racist hotel (including the staff, not sure if this is hotel’s policy or how they are trained to treat various hotel guest based on their race.
As usual racist hotel will give us Asian the 1st level first room with either the smallest or worst layout. For info, we are not paying the cheapest rate based on the price list of the hotel. But yes, this is normal practise for racist hotel in France.
Out of our long holiday trip in France, we stay longest at this hotel just for convenience but this is the only hotel to ask me in advance to pay tax in advance. All other 8 hotels that I stayed at they only asked me to pay when I check out.
We reached ard 10am and just ask if we can check in, in case the room is ready so we can just go ahead with our plan for the day. We are Asian and it is very obvious there are no more Asian guest but she pretend she dont know which reservation. Without checking, she just told us to come back at 2pm. Anyway we know we are early so we just do what she said. We left our luggages at the hotel where she opened the room and asked us to push the luggages ourselves. When we came back at 2pm, she can again pretend dont know which is our reservation and she open the luggage room and dont know which are our luggages. There was someone else’s bag on top of my luggage and she just push the luggage out. We told her not our bag and she also dont know whose and just keep the bag back into the room. How unprofessional and unsecure it is.
Just additional note, from 10am to the 2pm check in, she didnt even give a smile, even after knowing we are staying 6 nites at the hotel.
Please take note that this hotel does not provide daily bottled replenishment. The staff said the hotel only provide for day 1 as welcome drink. We are paying same price everyday but even bottled water also only give once. So if you have to stay here for whatsoever reason, better book one day by one day.
Housekeeping in general considered ok but inconsistent in replenishing the coffee, tea, sugar and creamer, even the wooden stirir. There are times they only give decaf coffee. The water kettle to boil water will produce a layer of something to the water.
They also do not replace the bedsheet and blanket throughout your stay. Just tidy up. Even the cups and glasses is the same for the 6 days of my stay. I know because there are some cracks in the cup and everyday i seeing the same crack.
Lastly, i didnt bring the above concerns during my stay because i am more worried that the hotel (staff) may do funny things as all the hotel staff (day and nite) are all racist. Even as i check out, it is I who say thank you and not the staff 😂
My opinion: Overall location is good so please consider other...
Read moreThe property looks initially nice when you go to reception and the staff allowed me to sterilise baby's bottles in the microwave in the kitchen. The room however was tiny, it was described as a club room which of course means a bigger room, when I got there I was told for them a club room means a normal double room, even though these were two different room options when booking. I explained I've stayed in club rooms at other hotel se and never means just double room but they just brushed this off and say that's how it is there. I also requested a room with a bathtub as I had my 5 month old baby with me and was told those rooms were not available/given to other bookings, I asked about changing rooms and they were very reluctant and said I could see other rooms but they're just as small and it's atleast £100 per day more for anything else regardless of the misleading room description/name. The cleaning staff would barely touch the room, besides making the bed, the balcony wasn't clean, the curtain was hanging off. They didn't change the sheets, at one point there was some coffee on the sheets, instead of changing it they just changed the duvet sheet and covered up the stain by making the bed ontop. Some days they wouldn't even bother refilling the tea and coffee station, i had to ask them for more ask they were in the hallway. The shower and sink was never cleaned, any of the tables, the floor was left dirty, wearing white socks they'd turn black underneath from walking on that floor for barely 5 minutes. There's nothing to make it stand out, not the decor, no slippers or robe or basic toiletries besides the cheap stuff that dries your skin out in pump bottles. The hairdryer was an old and yellowing thing stuck to the wall. There was no iron or ironing board even, I had to ask for it at reception and it was taken by another guest so waited another couple days till they got it back then did what I could to iron my clothes on the bed. Besides the good location, reception looking nice and the staff being ok, overall very disappointing hotel and definitely...
