This Sunday artist market is truly a hidden gem, I would like to recommend Jean-Lin Lartigue (near to the metro station exit), a Parisian artist renowned for his "Boîtes à Rues" (Street Boxes), which are intricate three-dimensional dioramas depicting scenes from the streets of Paris. I got my petit Montmartre from here. :) These works nostalgically reconstruct the vibrant life of a bygone era, capturing everyday moments such as a grandmother walking her dog or a shopkeeper arranging goods in a window. Each scene is meticulously handcrafted, blending sculpture and painting to bring these urban narratives to life. His "Boîtes à Rues" have been showcased in various exhibitions across Paris. Notably, in 2011, they were featured at the Galerie du Luxembourg in the 6th arrondissement, where visitors could experience these miniature Parisian streets up close. More recently, in 2023, his works were displayed at the Chapelle du Séminaire in Moissac, where they continued to captivate audiences with their charm and attention to detail. The Marché de la Création is a cool open-air market in Paris where local artists sell their original paintings, sculptures, and handmade stuff. If you're interested in exploring Jean-Lin Lartigue's work or acquiring one of his "Boîtes à Rues," I recommend you to visit here. :)

Officially one of my favourite places to visit in Paris. I went twice during my stay and both times were great, there seem to be different artists each week (so if you see something you like, buy it!) The artists are friendly and incredibly talented. The surrounding area is beautiful, filled with gorgeous cafes and amazing gelato. Getting to the market is super easy, you literally walk out of the station and into the market. The perfect way to spend a Sunday.

It's smaller than i thought it would be. A lot of beautiful and original pieces. Spoke to some of the artisans and bought some pieces! I was able to pay with card/phone, which was perfect and convenient!

Great place to see a lot of different kinds of art from local artists. Buy directly from the artist and you'll get a story behind every piece. Paintings, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, and hats! Changes every week. Many take card payment but some don't do bring cash. Price points for every budget. Get something to remember your Paris trip that no one else has and...
