Beware of this place. They offer a lunch formula but will charge you a la carte. It's a tourist trap. I went to this place when I saw the formula stating a savory crepe, drink, and a desert for €13.95 or €13.50. I specifically told the waitress that I was here for the formula. She gave me the menu, and I looked at the note saying any of your choices with a fine printer stating 3 specials only. I ordered a savory galette, then a drink, then I asked what sweets crepes were part of the desert formula, and they told me.sugar/butter, chocolate, and fruit jam I got the chocolate I added a coffee which I knee is not latt of the formula. When the check came, they had listed all the items a la carte, which totaled over €27. Basically, it's double what I planned to spend for lunch. When I ask3d for an explanation, they told.me.that I ordered a crepe that wasn't on the formula. Ok, I get that, but why hasn't the waitress told.me.that the crepe I was getting was not part of the reason I came? Again, I clearly stated that I came for the formula to make sure it was still served. When I asked about the formula desert, why hasn't the other waitress told.me.that I didn't have a formula to begin with. Last but not least, why didn't they fix my check as a courtesy for the misunderstanding???? They kept insisting that I chose a crepe that wasn't on special, and the second waitress was blaming the first one who took my initial order. They ruined my day. This was a terrible experience. I am not upset f9r spending double, it is not about money, it is strictly...
Read moreWe bumped into the crêperie accidentally as we wandered tired and hungry through the streets of Montparnasse. I was pleasantly surprised how well the café did match my expectations from crêpes, since I wanted to try them. The crêpes are baked constantly, you can even see the cook and the part of the open kitchen where it's all made. The crêpes are fresh, big, sating, not too sweet, so they go well with every filling you would want to try. I had the crêpe with butter, sugar and lemon, and it was a wonderful choice to make (strongly recommend to try). What is not worth itself is hot chocolate (chocolat chaud). The prices are reasonable and affordable. The crêperie itself is a loud place, not suitable for a quiet pause from the Parisian streets. Largely, it's a place for meeting with people: some come there with their families, kids, others come with friends. It's really fun to be there, the atmosphere is really energetic. When it comes to staff, everyone was rather nice, according to Parisian criteria. We've asked for Americano (there's no on the menu) and they made us some. All in all, it's a fun place to hang out and eat some...
Read moreLived nearby many years ago and this was one of our go-to places for traditional crepes and galettes. Came back to the neighborhood and was pleased to find the quality was the same, lots of variety of savoury and sweet options, ample space (very rare in Paris and so needed specially with small children) and outstanding customer service. Most places in Paris are downright hostile with families and they were so so welcoming, got us even treats for the children....
