Just before joining the queue at Creperie Josselin, I made a snap decision to cut over here instead. I’m so glad I did! It’s well worth it to take a chance on a local place than a buzzy one. Luckily my impulse didn’t fail me! (mostly..).
We arrived at about 1:30pm on a Sunday as a party of 2 and stood outside for about 15minutes before being sat. (Not too bad at all). Keep in mind the place is quite small so larger parties might find trouble. While waiting the chef threw us a bunch of smiles and didn’t mind us poking our heads in and drooling at his creations! He even jumped in a photo with me! The place seemed full of locals or “in the know” visitors and vibe kept very cozy and pleasant. There’s a cubby along the walls for your belongings which I thought was fun and clever. My sister and I are foodies! So the creative menu was a hard sell. I recommend the “Bigoudène “ for something truly special (we subbed the andouille for lardons) and of course a cider to accompany. their recommended bio cider is great. We chose to take our sweet crepes to eat along our walk home and the staff was accommodating about that. My one gripe is with our waiter who was very short and gave us a pretty nasty attitude as we tried to leave. my sister had a baby strapped to her chest and we stood politely waiting to leave. The waiter chose to stand with no regard blocking the walkway while settling up a large table of 10 sat in the middle. They split the bill about 6 ways so it was no quick task. It would’ve been nice to allow us to pass first. we got fed up and approached him and he leaned ever so slightly making no contact. After this, I’d return only to salute the smiling chef and perhaps get my...

What Ofcourse I had to get a savory and a sweet crepe (checking off the checklist). The ivory one, I got the veggies one and this was really good, very cheesy. The mushrooms are a bit on the raw side, but I guess that's just a me problem. I ate it and it was delicious. The sweet one I got an almond cream like one with chocolate, it was a good finish after the savory one. It is interesting that it is crepe but the crepe wrap was different and even wrapped different! I was satisfied.
Environment Seems I was on crepe street! The restaurant was very cute, there were seats inside and also outside. Ofcourse I was outside on a good day! The table was on the smaller side but perfect.
Niceness of the staff Super super nice staff, looking at these foreigners and asking me questions I was not prepared for. I ordered both the crepes and she asked me which I wanted both at the same time or one at a time. The also offered me coffee.. which it was too late but if you ask if I want espresso with my crepe, yes please.
Dollar I thought they were priced decently, it was around 20 for the whole meal.
Yes/no Yes! I would return and try the other items...
Read moreLanding in the heart of Paris, we knew a proper crêpe was non-negotiable, and La Crêperie Bretonne was buzzing, as expected. There was a bit of a queue – always a good sign, right? Travelling with our little one in tow, we were so grateful when the staff, with genuine warmth, managed to carve out a cozy spot for us amidst the happy chaos. Now, for my fellow vegetarians, a word of caution: the options are somewhat limited, maybe one or two at most. So, meat lovers and those with a penchant for sweet or savory pancakes, you're in for a treat! They also boast a respectable collection of wines and beers to round things off. I couldn't resist trying the Clement Faugier – that walnut and chestnut cream combo was divine! And then, the classic breakfast pancake, complete with perfectly cooked eggs on top, was just what I needed. What struck me was how swift and efficient the service was, despite the constant stream of people. And the taste? Absolutely spot on. My advice? Definitely consider booking ahead, especially if you're on a tight schedule or have little ones with you. Otherwise, be prepared for a little wait – but trust me, it's likely to...
