Aux Castelblangeois — Restaurant in Paris

I went there this January, 3wks ago, with my husband my twin girls, twice!!! Actually out of option as it was the only breakfast opened around Louvre and they wanted croissant and one more time as i was waiting for Apple store to open. The foods were just average, but the asian woman s attitute was so arrogant and bad! We ordered everything separately and later noticed there was a breakfast sign with all we ordered in a package which was way cheaper. The sign was not around the cashier or the counter but only on the wall near the place where we ended up standing near the entrance. I paid almost double and the woman just charged without a blink, She yelled loud to us as she said she didnt understand and when we were thinking about our orders she just ignored us and attended other customers behind us. The arrogance and attitude made all 4 of us uncomfortable and my other friends too. Cant believe that we would feel discremination from an Asian in France? While we felt very welcomed by the local french people!!?? We had a wonderful trip in Paris this January and this was the only thing bad about Paris that even my twin girls still...

This place was near the Louvre, so it was more of a random find for me. But nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised! I got a Kouign Amann here, plus an Almond Croissant. Both were very good, and seemed fairly fresh. The almond croissant had a good amount of almond paste in it, and the exterior seemed well-toasted, including the almost paste that was on the outside. The kouign Amann was also gladly on the outside, but soft on the inside, and had just enough sugar coating for good extra crispness and sweetness to add too it. Overall, happy to come back here again to try...

I was on the subway heading to the Louvre Museum. I asked a guy on the subway where I could try the best croissant in the area, and he pointed me to this place. There are many bakeries/pastries in the area, but I went straight there. A super sociable croissant, and a shout out to the chocolate bread, which had an incredible flavor. So good that I stopped by again on my last day to have a sweet memory of Paris. Highly recommended, and if I'm ever in that area of ​​Paris again, it will be...
