Newly opened restaurant, we came here for a deal on The Fork. And we will not come back.
The main dish quality is acceptable, but without the promotion I’d consider it expensive. The service is slow, and the waiters needed to come back twice to reconfirm the desserts order of our group of 6. Although, all of the staffs were nice.
The desserts were one of the worst that I have ever had. When I asked the waitress what is in the tea gourmand, she told me panna cotta, crème brûlée and some pastry. When it arrived, I got a tiny riz au lait glass smaller than the spoon they gave me (how should I suppose to eat that?), a tiny scoop of supermaket’s ice cream, half a wet lime cake and a piece of puff pastry that I couldn’t describe what is was. As for the tea, I was surprise that they serve a cheap Gilbert tea bag coming from Metro with a nice Cafe Richard teapot and cup.
We also ordered the pain perdu. And we were served a slide of Harry’s brioche top with Hershel’s caramel. They didn’t even bother to soak the brioche in milk or beaten egg before frying. Their “homemade” pain perdu was a sassy dry slide of industrial cake. With a price of 9.90€ for the Tea gourmand and 7.90€ for the pain perdu, it was just a...
Read moreWhat started as a great night for me and girlfriend ended very sad.... great onion soup and escargots as starter !! But when we ordered the main dishes we wanted both the beef option and for some reason the server ( young guy of indian/other south indian etnicity) though we only wanted one so when mine arrived my girlfriend her food didnt come. 10 minutes passed and we found it very strange, finally after tryna make eyecontact raising our hands server came back. We asked to get hers and he said he thought we only wanted one, very very strange because what couple only orders one main dish ? I forgive if he was overly stressed or nervous tho, everyone can have a bad night however we wait between my main dish and new one 40 min !!! My girlfriend almost didnt want it no more and ruined romantic night. The tables next to us got way better service than us and faster so i think we as young ouple didnt seem important to servers ?? No compensation no nothing. Worst service i ever experienced after hundreds of restaurants, one server for too many people and then not even equal attention to...
Read moreI had high expectations for a place with a rating of 4.6, but was quite disappointed. Nothing I ordered was impressive or great, quite substandard compared to other food I’ve had in Paris. The duck meat I ordered was not prepared medium as I requested, it was rare, they took it and cooked it more and it came back well done… I also asked for no garnishing, the dish came covered in it… the tiramisu was fine if you just want some kind of sweet dessert, but it was not at all a proper tiramisu. The prices are decent for Parisian standards if you go for the meal offer of 2 or 3 courses, but you definitely only get what you pay for in terms of quality. Server couldn’t communicate with us properly at all in English, but...
