Disappointing Stay Despite Premium Location

While the location of the hotel is undoubtedly premium, everything else about the experience was, unfortunately, average at best. There’s a clear lack of attention to detail and thoughtful touches—those little things that make you want to return to a hotel—were simply missing.

Room Experience: We stayed in a junior suite, which, surprisingly, had no chair—making the space feel incomplete and uncomfortable. The bathroom was large but again lacked seating, which seemed like a missed opportunity. When we encountered an issue with the door not working properly, the front desk initially told us a technician would come on Monday—we were staying over the weekend. Only after insisting were we moved to a suite, which, although appreciated, was a letdown: it was smaller, had a stained couch, and featured the tiniest bathroom I’ve seen (with the toilet inside the bathroom, which felt cramped and poorly planned).

Service: Service left a lot to be desired. We had specifically requested a kids' room with two single beds, even confirmed it by phone, but arrived to find a king bed. There were missing amenities, no glasses in the bathroom, and a room temperature stuck at 26°C—because the AC hadn’t been activated for the season. These may seem like small oversights, but they added up quickly and made the stay frustrating.

It’s also disappointing that basic offerings like complimentary water weren’t available—especially considering many hotels today offer filtered, refillable water as part of their sustainability efforts. Forgetting even to place glasses in the room made things feel even more neglected.

Overall: It’s a shame that such a beautifully located hotel lacks the basic attention to detail that creates a true guest experience. Despite the generous upgrade gesture, the inconsistencies and missed essentials made the stay feel far below...

This hotel is very stylish. The rooms are beautifully designed and make an impression when you walk in. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to be style over substance. One key reason we booked the hotel was the spa, but we were disappointed to find it anything but relaxing. In spite of the reserved time slot it was quite crowded when we visited shortly after 5pm, and there were no towels left, no soap in the showers, and no hot water in the hot water dispensers. This didn't change during our 30 minute stay. When it comes to the room, while it looks great, it ends up being a bit impractical; one obvious oversight is that there are only two spots to hang a towel, nowhere for a hand towel or your bathrobes. So what looks chic on first appearance ends up with towels draped everywhere. The room also feels a bit undermaintained, with obvious corrosion spoiling the impact of the gold shower fixtures. The biggest fault of all though was finding the sock of a prior guest on the floor by a stool, raising questions of cleanliness.

All that said there are other bright spots. Service at check in was exceptional, and we were delighted with the touch of dog bowls in our room when we arrived. The bed is also exceedingly comfortable. We also booked a classic room, so it's possible some of these grievances are less of an issue at a higher price point; nonetheless the price is already significant so it's hard not to be disappointed with...

Location of the hotel is good, close to the center of Strasbourg. Room is nice, cozy with very high quality bed sheets. Hot water was not so warm in the bathroom and hooks for towels are in the separated toilet, which is not very practical. In the room you can hear all the noises from rooms above or beside. We visited spa where is saunas, pool. Nice environment, calm place. The worst from our stay was the breakfast. 27€ per person is too expensive for what it was. Scramled eggs were like from averige motel on the highway, just not good. Capuccino was more coffee with milk and also not good. Between fruit were old brown bananas. Plate with crepes was empty, noone replace by new even that it was still 9:45 (breakfast is until 10:30). We asked for new, which the staff brought immediately, unfortunately directly from fridge, so cold and not prepared freshly. Tea was served in dirty cup. And in general, nothing wasnt replenished at least 45 minutes before the end of breakfast. The breakfast was total disappointment!! And what surpriced us that when we were leaving hotel, the receptionist didnt even ask how we were satisfied with the stay… I would expect that in hotel of...

Super hotel and super centrally located. You can reach everything on foot. The staff is very helpful and friendly. 😊 We had the room "Junior Suite" and it was just perfect. Super much space, very clean and just great. We booked without breakfast as it has a super bakery called "Hanss" 3 minutes walk away. It has a large SPA with pool, hamam and sauna. We also booked a massage, which we can highly recommend. It was very relaxing! All in all super impression received and have certainly not been the last time in this hotel 👍🏻
