I recently stayed at Hotel Passport in Tbilisi and would like to share my experience. While there were some positive aspects, there were a few areas that left room for improvement.
First, the breakfast options were quite limited, and we ended up having the same food every day. It would have been nice to have more variety. Additionally, it was disappointing to discover that ordering extras like omelettes or cappuccinos incurred an additional charge. However, the owner, who was a very pleasant individual, kindly provided us with complimentary coffee for a couple of days, which was a thoughtful gesture.
Another aspect that could be improved is the availability of housekeeping. It was inconvenient that housekeeping services were not available from late evening until 10 AM the next day. This timing could be more flexible to better accommodate guests' needs. Furthermore, it would have been preferable if the bed sheets were changed daily for a fresh and comfortable sleep experience.
The view from the standard rooms was somewhat obstructed by trees, which limited the enjoyment of the surrounding scenery. Additionally, the absence of a swimming pool was a downside for those seeking a relaxing and refreshing dip during their stay.
In terms of room amenities, the size was satisfactory, but the narrow corridors allowed for noise transfer from other guests as they walked by, which could be disruptive at times. The air conditioner could benefit from being stronger, as it struggled to cool the room adequately during warmer days.
Lastly, it's worth noting that there are other hotels in Tbilisi that offer similar or better amenities at a more competitive price point. Considering the range of options available, potential guests may want to explore alternatives before making a final decision.
Overall, Hotel Passport Tbilisi had its pros and cons. While there were areas that could be improved, the complimentary coffee, the accommodating owner, and the decent room size were positive aspects. However, for future visits, I may consider exploring other options in the area that offer a better value for the price.
Note: It's important to keep in mind that experiences can vary, and this review reflects my personal perspective during my stay at Hotel...
Read moreFirstly pre landing in Tblisi, the hotel was very responsive of all and any inquiries I had. So that itself made me feel at ease.
We landed on the first and they were quick to have us checkin and explain everything including the amenities around us. (There isn’t much however a local convenience store is about a 10 minute walk) and a few local shops were there. Secondly the breakfast option was authentic and delicious, they were almost 80% repetitive daily however I stick to one kind of breakfast regardless. The coffee was good! The barista was a sweetheart who was very welcoming to all and made sure we were caffeinated!
The view was extraordinary and very peaceful to watch daily, the area is a peaceful one and you don’t have loud noise. Literally opposite the hotel is a step based garden that you can cross daily to get to the underground tunnel to get to the other side of the area and to Rustevelli Ave.
The staff were absolutely sweethearts, the receptionists were always helpful. The only point that isn’t really an issue but a note, the balconies are all connected and there isn’t that big of privacy but we were lucky and the balcony beside us was empty for the first 5 days of our stay.
Would I recommend the hotel, absolutely. Would I be visiting it...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful 6-night stay at Hotel Passport during our honeymoon and couldn’t be happier with our choice! The location is perfect — just a short walk to the main attractions of Tbilisi, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Our room was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean : housekeeping came daily and always left everything fresh and tidy. We were lucky to have a room with a stunning view. Breakfast was a daily highlight! Full of delicious local flavors, it was not only generous but also thoughtfully varied — even after six mornings, there was always something new and tasty to try. The girls working in the breakfast area were so warm and welcoming who prepared us delicious coffee every morning. As a special touch for our honeymoon, the staff surprised us with a bottle of local wine and chocolates; such a thoughtful and personal gesture that made our stay even more memorable. We’re already looking forward to coming back next time we visit Tbilisi. Thank you for everything...
