Our visit to this restaurant in Tbilisi was, without doubt, the most disturbing dining experience we’ve ever encountered — not just in Georgia, but anywhere in the world.
Upon arrival, we politely confirmed with the staff (the owner's son) whether they accepted card payments, as we were flying out early the next morning and had no local currency. He assured us — twice — that card payment was acceptable.
Midway through our meal, the owner (the mother) stormed into the restaurant and began shouting uncontrollably at her son in front of us, demanding why he had served us without taking cash. Her aggression was shocking, especially as we were sitting quietly with two small children and had already been reassured about payment.
Despite offering her a $10 USD note (for a meal worth no more than $4–$5), she continued her verbal tirade, demanding we find an ATM late at night in unfamiliar streets while it was drizzling. It was nothing short of harassment. Her treatment was demeaning, xenophobic, and emotionally distressing — completely unacceptable toward any guest, let alone a family with young children.
Had we known how to contact the local authorities, we would have filed a formal complaint. As tourists, we were left shaken and helpless.
I strongly urge fellow travelers to avoid this establishment. No food is worth being treated with such cruelty...
Read moreFood is good and really tasty, place was also clean, however the waitress is two faced, one day she was so sweet and friendly offering their dishes, then the day we ate, she was so rude and unpolite, at same time there was no service etiquette, while serving our succeeding dishes she lifted the bread basket with her fingers all over the bread, and she placed the dishes in an aggressive way, then when its time to pay they added 15% on the bill saying that all restaurants in tbilisi doing like this even though we have eaten into several many and didn't encounter this.. yes, they are halal, but the service is so awful, will never come back! And it's not recommended to be visited, unless it's ok for you to be disrespected...
