Der kleine Muck — Restaurant in Bonn

I must say, don't be fooled by the Instagram-worthy decor, the reviews and the nice presentation of the dishes.

Upon arrival, despite having made a reservation for a table for two, we were directed to a messy six-person table, still cluttered with dirty plates. It took really long for the staff to clean our table, and their nonchalant attitude was far from welcoming. Instead of a warm and inviting atmosphere, we were met with cold glances, making us feel like we were an inconvenience. It's disheartening when you've planned ahead by booking in advance. The waiter did say they were overwhelmed but the restaurant was not that full to be honest.

As for the food, it was okay, not exceptional but it came fast and was well priced.

A visit to the men's restroom revealed a less than pleasant experience. The toilets were far from clean, the sink clogged and the presence of spider webs indicated that thorough cleaning had been neglected for weeks.

While the decor and presentation may grab your attention, the service, food, and hygiene aspects fell short of expectations. I would just go there for a drink, take a few pictures if you're that...

Auf Empfehlung und aufgrund diverser guter Bewertungen haben wir den kleinen Muck heute vorfreudig aufgesucht. Dort angekommen wurden wir mit einem ziemlich entnervten Blick und einem noch entnervteren Ton gefragt: 'Habt ihr reserviert?' - mal abgesehen von der fehlenden Begrüßung macht der Ton halt die Musik, zumal uns einfach nicht bewusst war, dass eine Reservierung (scheinbar wohl?) bevorzugt wird... Auf unser 'Hi, ohh, sorry, me, reserviert hatten wir nicht' folgte von der Dame ein Augenrollen, und sie nickte ihrer Kollegin zu. Auf meine Nachfrage hin, ob wir trotzdem Platz nehmen dürfen, wurde dies nüchtern bejaht... Ok - kann ja schonmal sein, dass es grade stressig ist oder so, also haben wir erstmal die Karte per QR-Code angeschaut und uns entschieden... Nach ca. 15min. Kam die Dame dann an den Tisch 'So, habt ihr was gefunden?' - Wir haben einen Eiskaffee Schoko und einen Cappuccino bestellt und 'zu essen? Nix ?' dankend verneint... Während dem Warten kam eine weitere Dame vorbei gehuscht und pfefferte im Vorbeiflug einen vollen Zuckerstreuer auf den Tisch - auch hier, Stress hin oder her - ein Lächeln oder eine kurze Begrüßung bei der Action tut doch wirklich nicht weh... Der Cappuccino war halt ein Cappuccino - der Eiskaffee Schoko war auch nichts überragendes, das Glas war auch außen voll mit Schoko - würde ich noch auch drüber hinweg sehen, wenn es sonst stimmig gewesen wäre. Der Zahlvorgang schien der guten Frau ebenso wenig in den Kram zu passen wie eigentlich gefühlt jeder andere Gast dort auch zu viel für sie zu sein schien... Ich beschwere mich selten über mangelnde Freundlichkeit im Service aber BITTE - Wenn man keine Lust auf Menschen und einen stressigen Arbeitsalltag hat, sollte man vielleicht über seine Berufswahl nachdenken... Mein Mann und ich kommen nur selten dazu, mal in der Stadt einen Kaffee zu trinken oder was essen zu gehen. Dementsprechend freut man sich auf so einen Cafébesuch. Wenn man dann aber ab der ersten Sekunde behandelt wird, als sei man ein Störenfried, der mit jedem 'Wunsch' nervt, vergeht einem wirklich jede Freude. Sehr sehr schade und wirklich enttäuschend. Ps: ich habe mir nun mal mehrere Rezensionen durch gelesen, was uns auch in unserer Auffassung der Dame heute komplett bestätigt hat. Leider hat sich wie von dem neuen Inhaber bereits vor einem Monat in einem Kommentar zu einer negativen Rezension angekündigt NICHTS an dem unterirdischen Service gebessert, ich denke das ist wichtig wenn dem Inhaber WIRKLICH an einer Kundenzufriedenheit gelegen ist. The reception was terrible and the nice flower wall appears to be for reservations only. So walkins will be seated near the door. The food looked visually amazing but was mostly tasteless without much spices sometimes even lacking in salt. The service was slow and unprofessional. The place was packed for Sunday brunch and they were clearly understaffed. The ladies toilet is disgusting and had a mountain of used tissues on the side of the sink.. I don't want to think on what this means for the kitchen... Overall not terrible but not a great experience. I would have to think about going there again especially that they don't serve any alcoholic drinks at all and apparently no bacon of any...
