From the looks on Instagram and TikTok I was looking forward to trying this new café. Yet, unfortunately it wasn’t as convincing as I wished it was. We waited 40 min for our food & drinks, which is still ok because we told the team that we wanted to have everything served together, so they warned us that it‘ll take more time. Since I‘m familiar with the long waiting times for soufflé pancakes from other cafés in London, it didn’t bother me that much.

Tastewise, the pancakes were rather disappointing. I had the ones with tapioca and somehow there was a slight salty taste which I couldn’t fully define. Also they tasted quite “eggy”. I wish the texture was more fluffy, airy and not that dense.

The strawberry bingsu was delicious. The only ingredient that bothered me were the popping boba and jelly that they added inside the ice. Imo, it didn’t suit the bingsu but this is only my personal preference.

The Wien Kaffee was alright. I thought, it’ll be sth like an “Einspänner” but it wasn’t that intense due to the amount of milk.

Since this is still their first month after opening, I think they have to cope with the high customer rush. I hope, they’ll take the criticism into account to improve their recipes and service, because they have a lot...

Wow, it has been a while that I got so disappointed. The staff is kinda nice but obviously not grooved in yet. Not enough people on weekend. I can see that in the back are a lot people but at the front only one. Even tho it won’t make the food faster but at least the guest wouldn’t have to queue up so long and can get a seat first.

As for the dessert: worst Chinese dessert I got in the last decade. Mango Pomelo Sago ain’t a bit similar to the original one. Not much taste and weird texture. But the Mochi Taro Puree was the worst, super weird texture. Almost impossible to eat bite by bite. It was a huge lump. As for Süßes Geheimnis, the Tapioka were so burnt that it taste like Lakritz

Interior: nice and cute idea tho but not thought thru. Some chairs are paired with tables that are way to high. White interior that’s require a lot of attention to keep it white but just look bad after a few weeks. The toilet is another Desaster.

I could see that others aren’t satisfied either as lot of left overs that are piled up on a back table that they couldn’t clean up in time.

Yea and pricey...

Very crowded place, its hard to find a spot to sit down. It was out first time and I liked the variety of the menu. They have many options so it was so tempting to order more from their menu. (However we just ate our dinner and were quite full) Our friend decided to go for their 九宮格 9 mixed plate, because we were hoping we could try more by choosing this… HOWEVER, we felt we were fooled by the pic on the menu. It is just 8 bowls of coconut milk with different fruit, rice or jelly. They all tasted exactly the same………😅😅😅😅 after having the whole it felt like we only had coconut milk…

Their shaved ice (bingsu) and souffle cakes were nice though. For this I would have given a 4 stars, but we were so disappointed by the 8 bowls of coco milk 😳 The presentation of this is nice but really not what we expected.

Our rating is 3.5 overall then. If we did not try the 9 square mix plate it would be higher. So avoid that plate unless you just want cocomilk with...

Looking for the perfect spot for a girlie get-together and some juicy gossip? Buni Café is THE place! Cozy vibes, great desserts, and plenty of space to spill the tea (literally and figuratively). Their desserts? Absolutely delicious! Even my foreign friend, who usually avoids Asian desserts, gave it a big thumbs-up. Buni managed to convert them—impressive, right? Personally, I fell in love with the mango grapefruit tapioca dessert. The flavor was spot on, though the texture was a bit thicker, almost yogurt-like, compared to what I’m used to in Asia. Still, it was sooo good, I’d happily order it again. Overall, a fab place to hang out, indulge your sweet tooth, and catch up with friends. Highly recommended!
