Food and drinks are very sweet, sometimes too much so. If you have hot chocolate, you shouldn't have dessert, as the sugar content will be sufficient without it. Don't forget to ask whether drinks and desserts are artificially sweetened, because you won't be warned about it.
Also, an unpleasant situation recently occurred when my friend and I visited this coffee shop for the second time. A drunken man sat down at our table and started to harass us, which caused great discomfort. Soon he took out bottles of alcohol right in the cafe and started drinking. He ignored my remark, so I went to the staff, because it was about time to pick up my friend's and my order. When I told him that a drunk man was sitting next to us, who was also drinking alcohol here, the employee replied, "But that's not allowed here." Thank you, but can you do something? It was only after I said that something should be done about it that the barista asked the man to leave the establishment. But he came back, just leaving his drinks outside. It is worth noting that he drank the contents of the bottles right in front of the entrance to the cafe and other customers saw it. The drunken man continued to climb up to us, making noise throughout the establishment and waving his arms, but the staff did not react to this inadequate and aggressive behaviour.
Only two other visitors took an interest in this situation and offered to help us if we were going to leave. And we were going to leave and not return to this institution because the staff was behaving irresponsibly. You have to ask for the police to be called, and even then you only get "we don't know if we should call the police". Jesus, do something about it!
Does this mean that next time I can come to this place and drink alcohol because no one will make a comment and the staff will just ignore it?
I'm not going to come back here again because of the negligent attitude of the staff to the comfort and safety of...
Read moreNot kids friendly place at all. I was looking forward to a nice Bingsu and this place had nice reviews. We waited outside to be served to the table knowing we can’t just go in fue to Covid-19, and the staff just walked pass and ignored us. The other staffs at the counter served the customer after while i had to take my wallet. With an attitude like this then i’d expect the Bingsu to taste good. Now, i have tasted Bingsu from Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. This is by far authentic. We ordered Mango and Green tea Latte Bingsu. The mango had an off taste to it, its sour and not fresh, no fresh cream in the bottom. Green tea latte, this one Is bad. How can you not have any green tea taste. My husband helped eat both Bingsu. It feels like fake green tea Bingsu to me. You can charge €7,50 with cheap ingredients? I absolutely detest business who are trying to cheat customers thinking the western or asian born western don’t know any better. No...
Read moreFOOD & DRINKS I saw that they advertised Bingsu and I went in. Bingsu with sweet red beans is always my first choice and I picked it because I wanted to compare it to the one I had at Namu Café. This bingsu is simply better. The shaved ice quality is the same but the presentation showed more care and love.
SERVICE Staff is nice and helpful. They always seem to be pretty busy because this place usually is packed at all times. Nonetheless I was able to order my Bingsu in no time and it was served very fast.
ATMOSPHERE It is alright. Its not really cozy. It is very simplistic and doesn't have the Korean aesthetic. I am still waiting for the first Korean Café in Düsseldorf that reminds me of Korea.
RATING If they can make the place look better, more inviting and special then five stars all the way. Until then I gonna try a...
