I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a pretty good visit. - The breakfast stood out—lots of options, and everything tasted fresh. - The whole place felt calm and relaxed, which I liked. Now, the rooms? They’re on the small side. But super clean and well kept, so no complaints there. The elevator, though, was really narrow. Not sure why so many places in Greece have tiny elevators. If you have big bags or just like some breathing room, you might find it awkward. One thing I didn’t love—the TV in my room was pretty old. Could definitely use an update. But here’s where things got weird. I had just finished showering and was wrapped in a towel when a member of the cleaning staff opened my door with her own key, even though I had the “Do Not Disturb” sign out. She saw me, quickly shut the door, and left. It was uncomfortable and honestly a little scary. I called the front desk right away to let them know. On the bright side, the reception team was always friendly, and I want to give a special shoutout to the breakfast staff—they really made us feel at home. All in all, it’s a clean and comfortable hotel. Fine if you don’t mind tight spaces. But I really hope they work on respecting guests’ privacy. Having someone walk in on you like that is not something you forget.

I do not believe this property reflects a 4 star hotel by definition. Let's start with location...It is located in a not so atheistically pleasing part of Athens so be careful walking around the neighborhood. The rooms are too small and very outdated. I stayed at this place for a total of 5 nights on 3 separate occasions because of a group tour. First 2 nights the room was as small with a window that opened to an alley which was on the 6th floor. The AC barely worked. The second time I was given a better yet still standard room on the 5th floor. This included a sofa but the bathroom had zero ventilation. Main window faced an alley but at least the AC worked. 3rd time I was on the 1st floor, room was tiny again and the AC was broken completely. In addition they advertise a GYM but the one and only weight machine has a sign in it that reads "Out of Order". The treadmill is old, the bike is older and the 4 kettle balls are all that's available. The absolute BEST thing going is the Rooftop Restaurant/Bar and Staff. Food is Great and the Staff is great as well. The Bar and drinks are fantastic and the Bartender is amazing with the crafting of cocktails. The view of the Acropolis is fair. Hotel is a 3 star as far as accommodations.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were really looking forward to a special experience. While the hotel had mentioned an upgrade, we ended up with the same type of room, which was a bit disappointing. The buffet itself was decent, but the to-go breakfast we were given (since the buffet couldn’t be opened early) was unfortunately stale and not very enjoyable. There were also several details that made the stay less comfortable than expected. Only one of the three elevators seemed to be working at a time, which caused long waits. Even though we placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, housekeeping still came in, which felt intrusive. The mattress had a large stain on it, and the toiletries provided weren’t the right ones. When we requested replacements, the wrong items were brought instead. Overall, we feel the hotel has potential, but the service and attention to detail fell short of what we expected for such an important occasion. A little more care in cleanliness, accuracy, and respecting guest preferences would have made our stay much more memorable in a positive way.

My cousin and I ended our cruise in Athens. We had transport from the dock to the Polis Grand Hotel. We unfortunately didn't ask for early check-in. So we dropped off our bags and went to explore around the area. The staff from the moment we stepped into the hotel were friendly and attentive to our needs. When we returned from exploring we still had a bit of a wait for our room to be ready. Vassilis told us to go downstairs and relax until our room was ready. Once our rooms were ready Marios helped us with our bags and up to our rooms we went. We had adjoining rooms and they were perfect for the three days we were going to stay. The beds and pillows were comfortable and plush. The hotel is centrally located, and most must see sites are within walking distance. That was great!!!!||The breakfast selection was amazing. The variety of food would cater to a variety of palates. We also dined at the Rooftop Restaurant. Our dinners were delicious and the portion size was more than I could eat. The view of the Acropolis from the restaurant was breathtaking. The staff were friendly and provided over the top service. We also dined in the Coffee Shop. We ordered the chicken Club sandwich with fries. The fries are not like american fries. They were like small halved potates, fried and seasoned with sea salt and I believe parsley. Wow!!! They were yummy!!!The sandwich was big enough for two people. We both asked for extra mayo and Panos was just amazing. ||Our last day there, we decided to have our last chicken club sandwich and fries and share it. Well Panos took our order. When we got our sandwich it had extra mayo on it already. That's been attentive to your customer. We also had our last dinner in the Rooftop Restaurant and was treated like royalty. They were so nice and wished us a safe trip back home. We took pictures with them and thanked them profusely for making our stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend staying at the Polis Grand Hotel. The hospitality is over the top. Thank you everyone at the Polis...

The hotel is very well located 15mins away walking distance from the city center and all main attractions. You also have a metro station and bus stop right around the corner. The breakfast has a great variety of options, the food is good! The rooftop bar has an amazing view to the city and Acropolis, the prices are not high and the quality of the food and drinks is good. The evening turn receptionist Myrto was extremely helpful during the whole stay, not only resolving the issues related to the stay but also providing great recommendations. The rooms are good size and have all necessary equipment, the bathrooms are pretty renovated and big. There is a balcony in each room. The beds are comfy and they provide 2 different pillows for your comfort. A rare find in the hotel rooms is a full length mirror!

Some facilities and equipment need renovation: the sheets and towels are clean but already grey and worn out from so many washings. There is no shelves to store your clothes, only hangers. The cleaning of the room was disappointing in general. The dishes (cups for tea and glasses) provided in the room were never properly cleaned or changed, the tea&coffee supplies were restored only once in almost a week stay. The sheets were never changed till we requested it, and, even once requested, the manager Vassilis tried to convince us that the bed clothing was changed and even came to the room to have a look. If this was a quality check it was not communicated to us, but the arguing about the sheets in 4* hotel was surprising to me. Hotel slippers were never changed as well during almost 1 week stay. Overall, the hotel should be an ok 3* and suitable for 1-2 nights stay when you don't require the maintenance of the room, as for check-in the rooms was in a...

Just checked out of my first of 2 stays of my trip at Polis Grand. Not what I expected based on reviews. Room was approx 8ft by 10ft, so it was difficult to walk around bed (I’m 5’ 3” and 128lbs) and have a place for our 2 suitcases. Also, only one person at a time fits in the bathroom. We arrived early at 0800 due to our overseas flight. We were not offered early check-in or even breakfast due to the fact that we would miss our second day breakfast since we had an early ferry which the hotel was aware of (we were not). When we returned at 3 pm there was a large line of guests to check in. No one it seemed was allowed to check in early. AC in room did not work even though we had them change batteries in the remote, and we had to wake up all night to hit the boost button to make the room cool and not humid. We attempted to use the safe which would not reopen, so we had to have maintenance retrieve our items. Luckily, we tested it before we left. We didn’t realize that we needed to make dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant at 8:30 pm at night and no priority was given for outdoor seating to hotel guests. The hotel did book our taxi to the ferry this morning but gave the driver the wrong port location. Luckily, we caught the mistake and our taxi drove 150 kph to get us there in time. Our room had an alley view with no balcony even though the majority of the rooms have balconies and a street view and some can see the Acropolis from their room. No assistance was offered to help us with our bags to our room. (I thought this was a 4 star hotel?) BEWARE, taxi drivers will not bring you from the ancient sites or Plaka to this hotel unless you pay them triple the cost. Ubers will also cancel on you! I dread returning to this hotel...
