Ethos Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Me and my partner recently stayed at Ethos Suites in Chania, Crete, and had an exceptional experience. Here's a breakdown of our stay:

Arrival and Check-In: Our journey to the hotel was smooth, with a flight followed by a taxi ride. Despite arriving on a holiday, the key handover was seamless and efficient. Communication prior to our arrival was excellent, with the staff ensuring we had all the information needed for a hassle-free check-in.

Location: The hotel's location near the harbor is fantastic. It provided us with a picturesque setting and easy access to the charming Old Town. Additionally, there were numerous shops within walking distance, making it convenient for any necessities.

Staff and Service: The staff at Ethos Suites were incredibly friendly and accommodating, creating a warm, familial atmosphere. They genuinely cared about our comfort and well-being. A special mention goes to Dimitria at the reception, who went above and beyond to assist us. We had several early morning tours planned, which meant we couldn't always enjoy the breakfast served at a nearby restaurant. Dimitria found a perfect solution for us, ensuring we didn't miss out. Her efforts truly impressed us.

Room and Amenities: Our room was consistently clean, cozy, and inviting. The view of the water from our room was stunning, adding to the overall charm of our stay.

Convenience: The hotel's proximity to the Old Town was a major plus, as we could easily explore the historic area. Additionally, we could conveniently book bus tours that departed nearby.

Overall Experience: We highly recommend Ethos Suites to friends and family and would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Crete. The combination of excellent service, a prime location, and comfortable accommodations made our stay memorable.

This was a sweet little boutique hotel. A great place for someone new to Greece to land or as a starting point for their vacation. The accommodations are modern and clean. You’ll love the rain shower. Try to get a room with a balcony. They’re small but it’s nice to sit outside. The hotel was cool but that’s not why I gave it five stars. It’s the staff!!! Dimitra runs the front desk and she was invaluable. She was a wealth of information. My trip wouldn’t have been the same without her. A delight to work with and she can get you anywhere you want to be. From excursions to taxis. Where to eat and what to see. She made my first time in Greece so trouble and worry free. And I was nervous since it was my first time. Lola is head of cleaning and man my room was clean!!! And she is so sweet!!! I actually felt bad because I was asking Dimitra so many questions. She assured me it was ok and not to worry. It was super easy to communicate with her on WhatsApp. The location is perfect in my opinion. Super close to everything including the beaches. But situated just right so you’re not to deep into hustle and bustle. On Saturdays the street mkt opens right on the little road in front of the hotel. It’s fn amazing!!! Best fruit, vegetables, olives, and food you’ll ever find. I bought a lot of fruit for my room. Garden fresh and simply incredible. You must wear comfy, sturdy shoes!!! The cobblestone roads and walkways are very uneven. Bring your sandals for the beach. I recommend you try to reach out directly to Dimitra for booking. I will be back next year. We absolutely loved our stay at Ethos. The location is ideal — just a short walk to all the main sights in Chania, but still peaceful and quiet. The apartment was modern, super comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the lovely view from our balcony and the incredibly comfy bed — we slept so well!

Everything was spotless and cleaned daily, with coffee, tea, and amazing toiletries refreshed every day — such a nice touch.

But what really made our stay special was the amazing team. A huge thank you to Dimitra, who made us feel completely at home and went above and beyond to make our trip stress-free. From organizing local trips to recommending fantastic restaurants, arranging beach towels and even a parasol — she was so helpful and kind. Thank you again, Dimitra — you're the best!

Also, a big thank you to Lola and Arta for keeping our room immaculate — it was such a pleasure coming back to a fresh, cool apartment after long days out (especially in the middle of a heatwave! 😅). And to Katerina for her recommendations for a local trip. It was fantastic!
