Fu asian bistro — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

5 stars because it is the best Chinese in Chania by far. In absolute terms I would rate it with 4-4.5 stars as it falls behind some of the best I have tried. Been there 4 times already. I had a delicius dish the first time, that I don't remember what it was, I had Szechuan Chicken the second time which was delicius and I had the same dish the fourth time too which was also delicius but it was not exactly the same as the first time. The second time there were a few coriander leaves in it (which I hate) that were not there the first time I had that dish (otherwise I would have asked them not to put coriander in my order). All those three times (1st, 2nd, and 4th) the food was take away. The 3rd time I ate at the restaurant and it was almost a disaster. I had a hot and sour soup which was extremely sour, salty and strong in taste. Not like the delicius hot and sour soups I had in other Chinese restaurants. Actually it was so salty (probably due to excess use of soy sause which was also responsible for the very strong taste) that my mouth felt swollen and numb. I ate the soup because I don't usually mind salty food but this was actually unpleasant. Second dish was General Tao chicken which was also too strong in taste and also had coriander in it which I hate. However it wasn't that bad and the chicken was tender as it should be. One more dissapointment on that day was that despite the fact that I ordered two spicy dishes I hadn't been served with a bottle or a glass of water (it is an obligation by law in all restaurants in Greece BTW) and I had to order one while I was chocking on my spicy food. If that was my first try in that restaurant it would definitely be the last and my review would be a 3 star...

I was a bit hesitant to eat dinner at the FU Asian Bistro. I mean I am in Greece. Is quality Asian dishes really a thing here?

But I was in the mood for something different. Than the meals I have been eating and I was really missing spicy food. So I decided to give it a shot and I am glad I did.

Most Importantly the food was fantastic. I had the spicy Thai salad. It was very good, had great seasoning/flavors. But for me, it was not spicy. On the spicy scale it was a zero. But it was very good and I have a high tolerance for spicy food. My zero is probably much higher on most people's scale.

For the main course. I had the Peking duck 🦆. They did a fantastic job. I usually avoid fried foods. I am not a fan. But the duck was not greasy in the least. Rice pancakes come with the dish and they give you plenty. That is not something I can usually say. It was a fantastic dish and I am glad I ordered it.

I can’t even complain about any dish that I ever try at Fu, they are all cooked to perfection with the best mix of flavors , I can even taste the flavors while I am writing this review

Don’t forget to try their General Tao Chicken, their Spicy Korean beef , and for sure the amazing Surf and Turf , always have a noodle with your dish fried noodles are amazing either with beef or veggies and the fried veggie rice is so good

Alda and her brother and the cute Alex always welcome us with a smile , and really this is a place where every euro spent is worth it

All dishes are full has great amounts and service is the best , I wait my next time to visit chania to comeback , although I came this summer during my visit 3 times but it’s never enough
