You really can't get more central than this. The hotel is placed one street away from the Venetian port which can be quickly accessed through the courtyard behind the hotel. It is basic, but beautifully clean, well maintained, and welcoming. There is a small kiosk right next door for drinks and a supermarket opposite. The central market is a few minutes walk away, and there is a local market on a Saturday morning that starts opposite the hotel. There are also several gorgeous restaurants nearby. I would direct travellers to the Faka restaurant which serves excellent traditional food. There are also many places nearby that deliver by bike messenger if you don't feel like going out. You can use the ClickDelivery site to order in English. ||||One word of warning, this is a traditional hotel. It's single glazed. The weekend revelry can be rather loud. I'd advise headphones you can sleep in comfortably. (We were in the attic room). That said, this hotel is worth the slight noise pollution for the enviable location and access to the Venetian port at the...
Read moreThe hotel was ideal for our group of 4, with newly renovated lobby and rooms. The receptionist was very helpful in providing directions and suggestions on places to eat. A phone number is a provided for times when there is no receptionist. At check-in, we were able to leave our luggage at reception, until our room was ready. Check-out times were also flexible. The receptionist was nice enough to use their printer to print the boarding passes for our flight. The hotel had also contacted me prior to arrival to ensure we had all the necessary info, including the location of the closest free parking lot. ||||The room was exactly as pictured, very spacious with comfortable beds and a mini fridge. The bathroom shower had lots of hot water with good pressure. There was also a small balcony that overlooked the side street. Breakfast was also provided for a small fee, but we decided to eat in town instead. There is a small kitchen downstairs to cook if needed. ||||Overall it was a great stay, and I would highly recommend for a small...
Read moreWe have been in Ontas for a couple of night. The hotel (basically a B&B) is located right back the old Venetian harbour but hidden from the main tourists path, which is a pro if you want get a bit of relax and if you wanna find parking lot easily. The hotel is managed by a nice and polite woman, who (I can say) cares about organization and cleanliness. We were 2 but we get a triple for around 70 per night. Well the room was small (probably 3 people struggle a bit in there), but cosy and well furnished and nevertheless clean and very nice smelling (which is not obvious in Old Chania). We didn't try the breakfast (probably suitable only for vegetarian :) ), but we really appreciate the self-service cafeteria (don't forget to put 1 euro in the basket for each hot drink). Definitely I recommend this place, just call the reception before you arrive cause the y have limited...
