When I wrote my previous rave review of this incredibly wonderful place I neglected to mention one of the highlights which is included in your price for the room. You get to have a fabulous breakfast each morning (from 9am-12pm) at the water in a truly lovely restaurant about three minutes from the hotel. There are many options for what you can eat and of course you can pay additional money for everything else on the menu. The selection was wide enough that we didn’t want anything other than what we were offered. The service was very hospitable and the setting was so nice and not in the fray of a zillion other waterfront restaurants. It was such a delightful way to start everyday! I can’t believe I forgot to tell you about it in my previous review since we enjoyed it so much! Definitely another great reason to stay here! Oh and another good thing - there’s an inexpensive (drop-off) laundromat about two small blocks away. Everything is so convenient and well situated. Even Venetian ruins - there are some outside the front door! There’s truly no reason to not stay here if you want a simple and lovely place to stay - except if you don’t want to or are unable to climb stairs to the second floor of a small building. The rooms are not on the ground floor and there is no elevator. Otherwise this place is...
Read moreThis is a lovely place to stay! I’m surprised there aren’t more rave reviews of this gem by now (I guess it’s sort of new). We are leaving it tomorrow and will be sad to go. It offers every comfort one could want and plenty of space for our family of three. We all slept so well. The bed has a great mattress, pillows, sheets etc and our son enjoyed the sofa bed (when are those comfortable?!). We were given everything we needed including lots of towels, tp, tissues, local bathroom products. All of it looked and felt super clean. It’s very tastefully decorated, practical, and it has a well stocked kitchenette, a perfect small balcony to sip free wine, fruit, or water and coffee on. What is also surprising is it is completely silent in the room despite the popularity of the nearby restaurant and small grocery store. Could be a very noisy location but it isn’t. It has wonderful air conditioning, water pressure (hot/cold) is healthy in the beautiful big bathroom. Our hostess was warm and welcoming. It’s hard to believe such a fresh and gorgeous space is available in the heart of the old town. We feel so grateful to have discovered this great place! You...
Read moreThese are fantastic studio rooms. Great location just a few minutes walk to harbour or old town. We had the top floor room with terrace that had table and chairs, 2 sunbeds and a large sun umbrella. View of mountains, sea and ruins. Rooms are immaculately clean due to the hard work of Olivia who cleans every day and is always happy, smiling and pleased to greet you. She even carried my case up the stairs on arrival. Little treats were left through the week such as wine, water and miniature spirits. The booking was simple online and we had great communication by email and whatsapp with Maria, both before and during the stay. She booked our transfers for us and could also have booked other excursions/ events if we had wanted them. The road is busy sometimes and there is a popular take away below but don't let that put you off as the windows are soundproofed and that and the air con meant we slept soundly. We loved Chania and hope to return and would stay at...
