PORTA HARENAE — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Our stay at Porta Harenae was an absolutely wonderful experience, we've enjoyed it a lot! Giorgos was an excellent host and gave us a heartful and warm welcome in his beautiful appartment located in the old town/harbour of Chania. He suprised us every day from new with some very delicious delights as shown on the pictures. Thank you so much Giorgos for your time and efforts, also for driving me to the bus station with our luggage on a sunday! We felt us very welcome and can strongly recommend everybody spending some days at Porta Harenae.

Appartments: Porta Harenae are in a very new condition and all rooms are renovated in a professional and clean execution. The rooms are very clean and with a lot of nice decorations. The beds were so comfortable, so its easy to relax after long days walking around in Chania.

Every appartment has a small kitchen with all things you need. The bathrooms have very good lights and you must try the supplied shampoo and shower. It smells so good and you can buy it in the store at the ground floor.

What to do in and around Chania: We have booked a car at uDrive, they will bring it directly to the appartment and den we recommend a trip to Elafonisi beach. Also make some stops in the hills, there are some nice villages there and everybody was very friendly.

I can also recommend walk trough the market on Saturday, the products to buy and to taste are delicious!

Also try the vegetarian restaurant around the corner, the mesls were great and they offer also...

My Girlfriend and I stayed at this magnificent apartment for 5 nights. It is so beautiful and has very comfortable furnishings. It was equipped with everything you could imagine. No detail is left out.

Location is near a parking lot with relatively easy parking. It is central to everything worth seeing and visiting within Chania. The sunset/sunrise views from the terrace are breathtaking.

The apartment and location was a magical haven for my girlfriend and I. If you get the opportunity to stay there, don’t hesitate-it was perfect.

It is nicest place I’ve seen and stayed in Crete.

Giorgos was kind, generous and an extremely considerate host. After our stay we consider Giorgio a dear friend. We hope to see him again when we return to Chania.

A particularly beautiful accommodation, and very well positioned. The building is newly renovated and is in the immediate vicinity of the old town, with a magnificent view of the Venetian Lighthouse, the roofed terrace offering a spectacular panorama. The apartment is spacious, very well equipped, with modern and new furniture, offering extremely comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, very chic bathroom and a spacious and friendly living room. Last but not least, the host Iorgos is a warm-hearted person, willing to offer you all the necessary comfort. I have never had the pleasure of meeting such a host.
