Pleiades Urban Stay by Semavi — Hotel in Municipality of Heraklion

Very modern and freshly renovated. Air con is good and cooled the room relatively quickly. Good water pressure in shower which has very nice ambience and lighting. Very comfortable beds - two singles joined together.

Location is excellent - close by to plenty of bars and eateries, but quiet at night. Bus stop close by where bus from airport stops, or take bus to the beach, or to Knossos Palace.

Lift and keyless entry is a breeze. There is a cafe on the floor below the hotel (separate business). Minor construction noise from next door in the mornings.

My very minor complaints are to do with the number of light switches - about 10 or 12 switches for what is quite a small room, with no master switch. We had a daily night time ritual of trying to figure out how to turn off all the lights. Also the emergency exit light above the door is incredibly bright and disturbed our sleep. Located on one of the main shopping streets Dikeosinis Street, the entrance of Pleaiades Urban Stay is rather small, next to the Vodafone shop. Along the same street, there were shops like Berschka and Zara as well. Pretty much a fashion street. We headed 2 levels up, keyed in the codes and entered our room. We were surprised by how modern the room was. There’s a mini fridge, microwave oven and also an electric stove for some light cooking. Smart TV also allowed connection to watch shows online or via Netflix/Amazon. Water pressure was good with hot water readily available and we had views to the streets below as well. At $100SGD right in the centre of Heraklion, it was definitely well worth it!

We spent 3 days at the end of October 2023. The studio room has a perfect location to visit Heraklion, the room has a little kitchen corner that contains fridge and coffee machine and kettle, as well as all the items you need to fetch yourself a breakfast. As the kitchen corner is just next to the entrance door and to the side of your bed, it is not advisable to cook a real meal there.
