Mosaiko — Restaurant in Municipality of Heraklion

Mosaiko was our first meal in Heraklion. We had checked into our hotel and unfortunately our room wasn’t available yet, so we needed to find a spot to grab a bite to eat that was open early. We we our choice of seats, since we were one of two patrons at the time. We opted to sit outside in the bar area. I had the Mosaic Breakfast with Fried eggs, mini sausages, bacon, manouri cheese, toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, and yoghurt with fruit and granola. X had the Pancakes with hazelnut praline, and Oreo bisquik. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food that my breakfast meal came with - especially for the price. And to be quite honest, this was my favorite breakfast during our entire time in Heraklion. I loved the little toasted sandwiches as well as the yoghurt with fruit and granola. I am an old school writer and like having a few drinks whilst dabbling in my notebook- this is something I have done for many years in many countries and I have gotten more writing done at this spot than anywhere else in Crete. I can endorse this spot for such an endeavor by Greek standards- I am tolerated most of the time and the DJs are great- a few times I've pulled some beautiful stream of consciousness getting lost in the vibe...
