Fabrica Sunset Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

Please don't make the mistake we did, this place is a complete SCAM and waste of money. If the photos and description were anything like what is published online there is no way we would have booked here.

First impressions painted a fantastic picture of the mess we were walking into - there was not one sign or branding of the apartment to be found anywhere, meaning it took us over an hour to find.

The images and descriptions online are completely misleading. They claim the rooms are soundproofed (which even the owner admitted to us they are not). For people who have not stayed in Mykonos there is absolutely no mention of the apartment being a stone throw away from the busiest intersection in town. There were loud cars and bikes honking their horns as well as a traffic controller blowing a whistle constantly until 5am. Not to mention the people shouting and nightclubs playing loud music all night.

Furthermore, the main reason we booked this property was for the pool, which was "closed" and roped off. Not once did we see staff or maintenance working to fix this.

Don't be fooled - it is listed that there was to be a tea/coffee maker, iron, electric kettle, sockets near the beds, desk in our room (just to name a few) yet we had none of these items.

Upon entry to the room it was filthy - there were thick layers of dust, hair and rubbish from previous users as well as broken furniture. The sheets had hair, blood and marks on them which we did not feel comfortable sleeping on.

As overseas travellers there was no safe to store our belongings, forcing us to carry laptops, passports and other valuables every time we left the room.

When we raised these issues with one of the owners, he was argumentative and defensive claiming it wasn't their fault or in their control, only our fault for booking there - my guess is that they get complaints like this often. The property was not fit for purpose, we felt uncomfortable/unsafe and requested a partial refund which has been denied.

Thankfully we were able to find another property to stay which is much quieter, cleaner, safer and spacious with a buffet breakfast - all at a lower price!

Fabrica is lovely! Our host is always around and ready to help with anything we need. He helped us rent an ATV, find great beaches, give great dinner recommendations as well as help us find prime horse riding. The swimming pool was out of action through no fault of Fabricas. When our room was missing an item, our host sent up his team to ensure a perfect room for when we returned from our short walk. The balcony is lovely with a sea view. Don't stay there even for a night. The appartement was almost completly empty, only a few fourniture were there. It dosen't look like the official pictures. The bathroom was an horror, there was nothing to hold the shower and to prevent water going everywhere on the floor. There was hair on the floor and the window has no lock so you could open it from outside. The main door has small windows that are being hold only by a nail.
