The Marisso hotel was pretty much perfect. Very small so you felt part of a very happy family - all the staff were amazing.||It’s up a short fairly steep hill (2 min walk from the bottom to hotel) and so worth it as you have amazing views over the town, sea and windmills plus you get a very welcome breeze.||The rooms are light, airy and very clean. Ours had a lovely terrace that looked over the town, sea and famous windmills. The sunsets from our terrace were amazing.||There are toiletries in the bathroom, a kettle with tea and coffee and a small fridge plus a decent hairdryer. We always had plenty of toilet paper and our towels were changed every day. The air on worked well and wasn’t noisy so didn’t affect your sleep.||Breakfast was a self serve buffet. There was a large selection to choose from and was served from 8am-11am. My only slight niggle was the hot food wasn’t kept hot so if you weren’t there at 8am the eggs etc were quite cold, apart from the food was excellent.||The pool was small but very clean with comfy sunbeds. The water was cool enough to be refreshing but not freezing. You get a pool towel as well.||The bus station and Mykonos Town with numerous shops and restaurants are at the bottom of the hill so you have everything on your door step.|The buses take you to a few different beaches - they have a sign in their window telling you what beach they go to and it is €2 one way (taxis are very expensive in Mykonos so the bus is a good option)||All in all an amazing week in beautiful Mykonos. It’s not the cheapest Greek island but it is worth paying a little extra as it...

Beautiful hotel with amazing service and incredibly helpful and friendly staff.
Lovely pool.
Highly recommended if you are staying in Mykonos.
Our room: Room was large with great fit-out + a lovely balcony. The balcony was quite spacious with settings allowing us to sit and unwind whilst watching breathtaking sunsets. Absolutely lovely.
Location: Great location to walk into the heart of Mykonos. Only a short 5 min walk. If you want to get to the beaches though, you have to catch a bus. Loads of restaurants and bars in the area. Great location.
Service: Amazing service and willing to bend over backwards for you. My wife and I had checked out and they let us keep our bags there whilst we went out. Great. That’s pretty standard for a good hotel. But the staff also allowed us to have a shower and fully refresh before we went to the airport. Amazing. Airport transport was also provided (no charge).
Breakfast in the morning was lovely with AMAZING views!!! Truely amazing and made us want to just sit and have a longer breakfast to take in the views.
I would recommend staying here and would love to go...
Read moreThe Marisso was an excellent choice in Mykonos. The location is perfect - it’s very easy to get there from the airport, it’s a short walk into Mykonos town and you can grab a taxi to the beaches and beach clubs. There’s also parking if you have a car or quad.||The building is compact but super cosy and comfortable. The rooms are fairly simple, but everything worked seamlessly. The AC is efficient and silent. The beds were comfortable. Views from most rooms over the town are superb. The common areas are really pleasantly decorated and a pleasure to spend time in. The pool is a great touch, if a tad windy.||Every member of staff we came across was friendly, helpful and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble.||The internet is faster than in your average hotel (around 40Mbps) and you could easily use it to work.||I feel like the quality of the food both at breakfast and from the bar could be improved, but that wasn’t a huge issue for us.||Value-wise it is objectively expensive for what it is, but it is good value for Mykonos. Would...
