Please think twise before booking this hotel. Let's start with the pros:||||+Breakfast is quite nice. Nothing special, but nice. Juices are sugary liquids but food is ok||+Aircon was good||+Cheap||+Customer service was good||||Then the negatives:||-Our terrace door locking system (room on the gound floor, or -1 actually) was broken when we arrived so we couldn't lock the door. Someone could've just walked in our room from outside. They fixed this when we told them about it.||-No shower head holder in the shower! There was no place to put the shower head, except shove it between the window opening (see image attached). Come on, is it really that hard to maintain a working shower?||-Sewer thing on the floor was broken so you could hurt yourself stepping in it's hole||-If you run out of soap you have to ask for it, it won't be refilled by itself.||-No new drinking glasses to replace dirty ones||-Cocroaches in room hiding and livin under the bed that has never been cleaned underneath||-At ~6am the staff start to rearrange the sunbeds in the pool area by dragging the beds making terrible noise||-When ever you open the window or terrace door it wouldn't take many minutes before cigarette smoke starts to enter the room. Unbelivable many guests were smoking even at breakfast right next to your table. Some kind of a smoking ban would be nice||-Bed was terrible, so hard! Even though we like firm beds this was hard as a rock and made terrible noise.||||A bit of caretaking and this hotel could be a lot better but seems like the owner doesn't just care. If guests don't ask for something - you won't get it. A bit of an upgrade (like shower head holders) and better cleaning and that kind of stuff this could be a good...
Read moreThe hotel has an amazing location if you would like to see the old city, the historical sites and the best dining locations available at the city center. Moreover it is just a walking distance to the beach on the right side of the island, where the sea was quite nice and clean to swim. You may only need to take a bus or rent a car to go to Lindos for sightseeing and it takes only around 1.5 hours to get there. Still, the city center, where the hotel is also located, has almost everything you need during your stay. Rooms are not big, yet they are totally worth the price.
Rhodes is sweet, natural, old and very secure to roam around, peaceful with warm-blooded people that will certainly help you in every way; it has been an amazing experience to know them all. You can walk around and explore history and natural beauties, in the old, jasmine scented narrow streets that is so Mediterranean and picturesque.
Anna and Michael in Pearl Hotel are like lifelong friends, very very friendly and sweet people, so much that you want to go back to Rhodes just to visit them. We thank them for the warm and nice conversations that we had almost each day at the bar section of the hotel. The other staff were also very nice and all created very warm, friendly atmosphere. Absolutely...
Read moreThe hotel is located in the heart of the city center, close to both Elli Beach and Windy Beach. Because of this, rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy, but the windows are perfectly insulated and there’s air conditioning, so street noise can be completely shut out.
Room: Very clean room, cleaned daily with towels replaced every day. It’s equipped according to the standards of a 2-star hotel. A small downside is that the shower tray is very small and there’s no drying rack to hang clothes.
Staff: Very kind and helpful. The Pearl Hotel doesn’t have its own reception, but the receptionists at the neighboring Esperia Hotel are happy to assist with everything.
Breakfast: A plentiful and varied breakfast, seasoned with Greek specialties. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the Esperia Hotel.
Special Note: Although it’s a 2-star hotel, guests can use the services of the adjacent Esperia Hotel (such as the pool).
We had a great time and would...
