New Village Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

My 3 friends and I went out to eat , and stumbled upon this restaurant where we were stopped by a woman working here. We were not looking for anything special and the restaurant looked fine so we went in. She also told us to check the reviews (but not the one on tripadvisor). Most reviews were great but at second thought they looked fake to me. The staff was friendly but it also felt very fake. One of my friends and I ordered a pizza and the other two ordered a caesar salad and mousaka. The food was mediocre (tasted like it wasn’t fresh) but not terrible. After we got home I started to feel sick, not long after that 2 of my friends also had to throw up. From 4:00 until 9:00 we were very sick and my two friends were constantly throwing up. The only friend that did not get sick was the one that only ate half her pizza. This is why we suspected that the food gave us food poisoning. The three of us all had the symptoms (nausea, fever, diarrhea and throwing up). We spent our entire day recovering (with the help of some medication). My friend and I went back to inform the restaurant of what we were going through. They said this had never happened to them and didn’t believe that we had gotten food poisoning from their restaurant. They asked us 3 times if we were drinking that night (which we had not done) and pinned our being sick on everything but their food. Lastly they offered us a free dinner, which we obviously did not take. I would not recommend going here, for us it meant losing a whole vacation day...

Best bar in Rhodes town too bad we discovered it 3-4 days before we were due to leave. It's a shame as there arnt many people in the bar most likely due to covid but they probably are normally busy due to their amazing hospitality. The greeter bobby isn't annoying or pestering unlike the "greeters" at the main strip who won't leave you alone and that alone made us want to visit. The other waiters/waitresses and bar staff are just as hospitable it's worth a visit for that alone their cocktails are amazing both in taste and looks. Must at least check it out at least once you'll never want to go to anywhere else...

Two years ago I went here first with my friends, this year I went here with by girlfriend. I love this restaurant for the friendly staff. The menu is pretty extensive, the cocktails are great, and all with a friendly price.

The location is pretty nice, I really like to see all different kind of things that happens on the street, but sometimes it can be pretty busy with cars and motorcycles.

When I would go back to Rhodes once again, I'm for sure stopping by this...
