A great sales pitch convinced us to give Jason's a go. Unfortunately, we won't return, nor recommend it.
The service was attentive and reasonably quick, as you'd expect for the price of meals that are slightly expensive.
The atmosphere was nice. it's a great venue and location with the exception of a music selection that was akin to a FPS video game or trance rave party tract that was monotonous and brain damaging.
However, the food was the biggest letdown. All 3 dishes were below average. The Greek salad lacked much dressing, only had a few slices of cucumber, and the peppers/capsicum was so bitter, most could not eat them. Even though I love bitter, I could only eat half. The saginaki cheese was questionably cooked in a saganaki pan, it was cold, dry, and rubbery, not hot, melting, and oily, as is my general experience. The mixed platter was chewy, the souvlakia was tough and small, not juicy marinated as you'd expect, and a spicy Germany style sausage didn't help nor the hard pita bread.
Given that we were dining for food, I had to give this place a 3. Hopefully, they read this and invest in slightly better quality food and cooking methods as they could easily be a 4.5 with some...
Read moreCentral location with friendly welcomers. The service on entry is good, our drinks order was taken immediately and the drinks served promptly. When we were ready our food order was taken and again served in good time. The grilled octopus was fresh & delicious. The Sweet & Sour Chicken was delicious; better than any Chinese we have tried. The Stifado was succulent well cooked. The only issue as far as the food was concerned was that the rice was similar to microwave or boil in the bag rice, it certainly did not seem to be freshly cooked. This is where the service let them down a little, we sat there with empty glasses and were not offered more drinks; so we decided to go elsewhere for a drink. When I asked for the bill, we were offered complimentary ice cream. The experience was good but slightly more attentive staff would have made it...
Read moreDON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER. The restaurant looks good from the outside but once me and my friend were seated we knew it wasn't going to be a good experience. The staff was weird and made us uncomfortable with horrible food as the cherry on top. The cocktail the waiter recommended tasted like something a child could make and the muscles... Thankfully I stopped eating them but my friend who ate more got food poisoning the next day which ruined our last day in Rhodes. When we asked to send back the muscles cause we didn't like it, the first thing our waiter had said was that we had to pay for it... Not interested at all with what was wrong.
To conclude the points, bad customer service, bad vibes, bad drinks and horrible food. I leave reviews rarely especially bad ones but I am MAD with this one...
