Utopia Luxury Suites - Old Town, Rhodes — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

1st apartment.... what a dive, was so dirty, bedding aka pillows smelt of sweaty,greasy hair and body odour, the matress sheet didnt look clean had stains on and so has the matress i dread to think what the stain was that i noticed. build up of dirt in all the nooks and crannies,kitchen wear was absolutley rotten,bedding smelt unclean on arrival. Which was corrected but still not good enough, then i had to bleach the place, then once i asked for a mop and bucket and clean towels ect, i was moved to another apartment which seemed lovely and clean (ill give them that) so i was excited and felt at ease, then i go to bed and wake up see strange bugs on the bedding that ive never seen before i went down to tell the fella in the bar below, he didnt belive me so i told him to come look for him self,he told me never had a problem before and insinuated it was me bringing BED BUGS to them, the BED BUGS was adult sized i was only there for the night, i bought loads of bug spray to kill the BED BUGS AT MY OWN COST!!!! yes after i spoke to the mans wife she give me some spray but turns out it didnt work and the matress was still crawling. The man had the absolute cheek to say if i dont like it why dont i go somewere else! Iam totaly disgusted!!! Why should i have to clean and spray things that comes out of my own pocket.. he then goes on to say oh you only payed X amount of money thats what you get, i said it doesnt matter how much i spent it should be clean!!!! |Then he went on to say i should change how i think as everywhere is like this i proceeded to laugh at him and say no it is not! ||When i came to the 2nd apartment to pack my things i found a leak that was coming from under the sink somewhere and it covered about 1 quater so it went all under the table and chairs and possibley the bed. ||I packed my things, after i put towels down to stop the leak but not my problem!||I WAS SPOKEN ABOUT BEHIND MY BACK AND SLAGGED OFF..FOR NO REASON, BECAUSE I APARENTLY FOUND PROBLEMS, NOT DUE TO MY OWN FAULT, IT IS THERE FAULT!!||STAY AWAY IT IS ABSOLUTLEY A SHAMBLES OF A BUSINESS AND IF YOUR INTO BED BUGS AND PURE FILTH THEN PROCEED BUT I HAVE BEEN BITTEN ALIVE BY THERE BED BUGS AND COULDNT SLEEP DUE TO COCKROACHES (YES IT IS A HOT COUNTRY I UNDERSTAND THAT BIT) BUT THERE IS NO NEED TO BE THE WAY THEY ARE! I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY AND HAVE LOST OUT ON WHAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE AN AMAZING EXPERIANCE STAYING IN OLD TOWN!||Ask anyone they will tell you iam a nice human being, dont like stress or DIRT and anyone will tell you that iam a extremley clean person, especialy i do not bring bed bugs to places on my arivals||FROM A VERY UPSET, VERY DISSAPOINTED AND STRESSED AND VERY VERY ANGRY CUSTOMER!!||NEVER AGAIN!||SAVE...

After a great deal of research looking for something extra special to celebrate my husband’s 60th Birthday we decided on the Utopia Luxury Suites, Old Town Rhodes and we’re so happy we did. We were delighted to find that the location of the apartment is close to everything & we comfortably walked everywhere. We visited in late October as we prefer it cooler & quieter.

We took the airport transfer arranged through the Utopia direct to our accommodation, latterly in a fab little golf buggy, which I highly recommend because if you’re getting dropped off at the gates of the Old Town by a taxi/bus it would be so easy to get lost.

Upon arrival the welcome we received from Giannis & Effie was so warm & genuine we felt at home straight away, it was very clear to see that they care very deeply about customer care & nothing is too much trouble, they even had delicious pastries for us to enjoy upon our arrival.

We stayed in the apartment with private courtyard & pool and it’s absolutely fabulous…even better than the pictures. The apartment itself is gorgeous, beautifully decorated & extremely comfortable with plenty of space to relax & everything we needed for our break.

The courtyard is very pretty & is the perfect outdoor space to dine or simply chill out in. The pool is fantastic, crystal clear water cleaned daily by Giannis himself, bigger than we anticipated & absolutely perfect for escaping the heat of the day…..we loved it…just bliss!

We had breakfast included & what a breakfast it is! See the pictures!…it’s huge! Everything freshly prepared & it varied every day….absolutely delicious & definitely enough to keep you going all day!!

The lovely Evita who made our breakfasts also looked after our apartment & it was always fabulously presented & scrupulously clean. Her attention to detail is amazing & nothing is too much trouble for her…she’s just wonderful!

All in all I can’t recommend the Utopia Luxury Suites highly enough, the service is the best we’ve ever had, the attention to detail is exceptional & the wonderful welcome & genuine friendliness of Giannis, Effie & Evita is fabulous, there was even a gift of the most beautiful cakes for my husband’s Birthday…so very kind & thoughtful & such an unexpected surprise!

Stayed here for one week in October 2024. We were a party of four, two couples in two rooms.

The location, setting and accommodation itself are lovely. Good value too.

The courtyard room with the small pool provides a lovely outside area, just be aware it is overlooked. In the rooms, linens are fresh, bed comfortable and the kitchenette well equipped. Lots of hot water.

The breakfast served to the room was fine. The breads and pastries weren’t the best quality. Fruits were always fresh. Juices & smoothies too.

Location within old town is brilliant. The owner’s local knowledge is first class and they can arrange and advise upon any requirement.

Make sure you book your transport to/from the hotel carefully as taxis cannot always get to the there due to zoning restrictions!

The big problem here for us was the immediately adjacent open air nightclub. For two nights of our stay it was unrelenting booming bass from 2200h until around 0400h. This really ought to have been declared during booking, however difficult a subject to broach. If the club had been open every night (as its website suggests), we would have moved hotel.
