We spent a couple of night at Attiki Hotel. It was my first time sleeping in Rodi Town even if I have been in Rodos many times. The place is located in a perfect position, right in the center! Very easy to reach from one of the side doors of the ancient walls, where we easily parked our rental car for the entire stay. George kindly waited for us until midnight (and over maybe) because our flight had a delay. He gave us his warm welcome but what appened in the following hours would be even better than this! We had sweet dreams: the place is quiet, despite being very close to the streets of the center. We met Niki (George's wife) and her sister Katie, who have been more than sweet and caring with us. It could seem obviuos or excessive but in a few hours we felt home, surrounded by old friends. It was pleasent and never intrusive to chat with Katie during the breakfast, indeed, it was something we enjoied so much. In the meantime, George and Nike became grandparents and they shared their joy with us and it was our joy as well. They also gave us a funny biscuit to celebrate the birth (lovely) Leaving the place, at the end of our stay, me and George we told each other that we felt like we met years ago because we felt a real familiarity, like you have with old friends. There will never be another place for us whenever we'll be back there: this will be our home...
Read moreWe stayed there for a week in August 24. Everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, full of charm. It's perfectly located in the old town, close to shops and restaurants and a short walk from Elli's beach when it's hot. It's owned by a lovely family that makes you feel part of it. The greek breakfast was great, they have the best yogourt ever! The family is always here to help and gave us great restaurant advices (try the Mezzes at Meli!). We used the shuttle service from their sister company Attiki excursions, and Pavlos was waiting for us as we arrived at the airport. The old town is not accessible by car by Pavlos dad (Georges) took our luggages for the last part with an electric golf cart and we just had to walk 100 meters. Attiki excursions were cheaper than other shuttle services, so we also used them to get to our next hotel in Kiotari and back to the airport. All together,...
Read moreAs a 1-star hotel, this place is excellent, it reminds us of the old Greek holidays of the 80s and 90s before the big All-Inc hotels took hold. Very traditional and run by a family that puts customers front and center. Yep, rooms are basic, but if you come to Rhodes, then see true Rhodes. Like others have said, breakfast is excellent!
We are a couple, who were staying in Kiotori and used our hire car to visit Rhodes town for a night. Jet2 charge €30+ each for just an evening!
With free parking at the harbor, a 20 min walk into town (easy), The Hotel Attiki places you in the center of it all. Finding it can be tricky but look for Romeo restaurant and opp. the Socratous Garden Bar also called "Stare Drzewo Fikusowe bar" (this has two entrances / exits) so get there, and head towards the WC exit and facing you is the hotel, with Pablo and George selling T-shirts...
